Atlas Senior Living is a senior living operator based in Birmingham, Alabama, serving families since 2013.

Today, we operate 38 communities across the United States, with a strong presence in the Southeast region, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

In addition, Atlas continues to expand into key markets such as Texas, Kentucky, Maryland, and Virginia, strengthening its presence beyond its core region.

Across each community, we create environments that feel welcoming and thoughtfully designed, with personalized support that reflects the unique needs of every resident. Our offerings include Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, each designed to provide comfort, meaningful connection, and a strong sense of confidence in everyday life.

Scott Goldberg and Wyman Hamilton, the founders, met in the Executive MBA program at the University of Alabama.

From an early age, Wyman developed a passion for serving seniors. Meanwhile, Scott built his career in development and marketing, owning and managing multiple companies.

Although their paths were different, they shared a common goal to be part of something meaningful. As a result, that vision led to the creation of Atlas Senior Living.

Today, their leadership is centered on one principle: putting residents first. By focusing on a resident-centered approach, they continue to guide the organization with a balance of compassion and operational excellence.

Your Guide to Choosing the Right Senior Living Community

The best way to find a local community is to explore our locations primary across the Southern of United States. Choosing a community within your current city or neighborhood allows you to stay close to family, familiar places of worship, and your preferred local shops, making the transition feel like a natural next step in a familiar environment.

Senior living offers daily support, social connection, and fewer responsibilities. As a result, at Atlas, we create an environment where residents can focus on well-being, safety, and meaningful experiences without the stress of managing everything alone, with consistent guidance and personalized support every day.

In many cases, senior living can be more cost-effective than 24/7 home care. At Atlas, monthly fees are structured to include utilities, maintenance, and professional support in one predictable cost.
As a result, families can reduce the complexity and overhead that often comes with managing a private household.

At Atlas, medications can be provided by family members or coordinated through the community’s preferred pharmacy, depending on individual needs and insurance requirements.

To ensure accuracy and consistency, all medications must include a complete physician order and follow specific packaging guidelines. The preferred pharmacy also offers added convenience, including direct delivery, coordinated refills, and standardized packaging that supports daily routines.

In some cases, residents may manage their own medications if approved through a nurse assessment. All medications, including supplements, must be documented and reviewed as part of the resident’s care plan. As a result, most residents choose community-managed medication support for consistency, coordination, and peace of mind.

This gives residents and their families peace of mind every day because it lets residents get emergency help and specialized medical care right away when they need it.
