Melissa has over 26 years of nursing experience serving the aging population in one capacity or another. Melissa has worked in rehab, long term care, hospice, critical care, assisted living, and memory care.
Initially seeking a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Kent State University, Melissa then pursued nursing at Marymount School of Nursing. Melissa had worked for Atlas community Legacy at Savannah Quarters in Pooler, GA since their doors opened in 2018 as Director of Health and Wellness. Melissa is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Working with elders has been a lifelong passion and says it is very rewarding to make a difference in the lives of those who have given so much.
She was born and raised in Ohio but has lived all over the United States with her husband Scott’s active-duty military service. Melissa and Scott have been married 25 years and have two daughters with one living in Colorado and the other in Florida. Hobbies include college football, traveling, spending time with family, and spoiling her French Bulldog as much as possible. He is the son she’s never had!
It is Melissa’s goal and desire to make sure every senior feels important and valuable, and assist them in every way possible to live their best life.
