Melissa has over three decades of nursing experience serving the aging population in one capacity or another. Vast array of experience includes rehab, long term care, hospice, critical care, assisted living, and memory care settings.
Initially seeking a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Kent State University, Melissa then pursued nursing at Marymount School of Nursing. Melissa started with Atlas in 2018 initially as the Wellness Director in Savannah, Georgia then becoming the leader of the clinical department for Atlas Senior Living. Melissa’s desire to continue learning and empower others led her to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner as well as CADDCT for others. Working with elders has been a lifelong passion and it is very rewarding to make a difference in the lives of those who have given so much.
Born and raised in Ohio but has lived all over the United States with her husband Scott’s active-duty military service. Melissa and Scott have been married over 30 years and have two daughters. Hobbies include college football, traveling, spending time with family and grandchildren, and spoiling her French Bulldog.
It is Melissa’s goal and desire to make sure every senior feels important, valued, and assist them in every way possible to live their best life.
