Atlas Communities Offer the Best Senior Living Experience in the South

As we embark on a new year, Atlas Senior Living would like to look back and appreciate what got us to this point. We look forward to continuing the adage, ‘What got you there will keep you there.’

In 2021 our associates worked harder than ever, volunteered their time, and won awards for offering the best senior living experience to families throughout the Southern United States.

You might wonder how our communities managed to provide care, give back, and receive so much recognition. These are great questions to ask senior leaders in the industry like Atlas. Let’s take a look at some highlights from the past year.

Best of The Best Senior Living

Fairview Park, an assisted living and memory care community, provides uncommon fun and dedicated care to seniors in Simpsonville, SC. From street art projects to a resident band, it’s a rockin’ place for seniors to live.

In October, the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce surprised Fairview Park with the A-List—Best of Simpsonville Award for senior care.

It was an honor to see the hard work of our associates recognized. The entire community celebrated the win with tacos and ice cream. Thanks to the photo booth, we’ll have lasting memories of our accomplishments.

What makes Atlas Senior Living communities unique?

From our residents to our associates and the areas we serve, we’re in the business of putting people first.

The heads of our leadership team, Co-CEOs and Co-founders Scott Goldberg and Wyman Hamilton, exude a passion for providing seniors with great care. Going beyond that, their willingness to support the areas surrounding our communities is what Atlas is all about.

The Atlas home office in Birmingham, AL sponsored a Make-A-Wish golf tournament this year. In turn, it inspired communities throughout the company to get involved with causes like:

Who makes Atlas Senior Living a special place?

Every one of our associates.

We’re proud to create communities where people from all walks of life can work together to create environments of care, compassion, and friendship.

In Winter Haven, FL, communities like Lake Howard Heights have over 75 years of experience on its leadership team. Many of the care associates have over a decade of experience in the building, and we’re proud to say a select few have over 20 years of serving the community.

Associates like the ones in our memory care community, Madison Heights Evans, make Atlas Senior Living special. In addition to orchestrating a visit from baby goats, they partnered with local businesses to raise donations for the Walk To End Alzheimer’s.

Having associates who are so passionate and dedicated is an accomplishment from a business standpoint in any industry, but in senior living, it’s how you create a superior product.

We go beyond creating a community to offer residents and associates an extended family.

How do you offer the best senior living experience?

Atlas Senior Living owns and operates over 25 independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities across the Southern United States.

In all Atlas communities, you’ll find unique programming, Southern cooked meals, and signature care that bring joy to seniors every day.

The Academy

Learning is a lifelong process. With The Academy program, Atlas seniors enjoy the opportunity to sit in on lectures, seminars, entertainers, and so much more as a part of their daily activities.

Freedom Dining

We offer personalized experiences and care throughout our communities. An extension of that is the residents’ opportunity to eat what they want, when they want, with Freedom Dining. Our culinary teams go as far as creating nutritious and delicious menus based on resident suggestions.

SPIRIT Memory Care

Our intimate memory care neighborhoods offer purpose and relief for those living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia. SPIRIT is our philosophy of tailoring care and activities to match each resident. These residents live in the moment, and we celebrate each and every victory they accomplish.

What is Atlas Senior Living looking forward to in 2022?

Mr. Geri Patrick Weevil

When Kristie Carty, Sales Specialist for Atlas Senior Living, saw how much our community loved Weevil Way, she knew right away she wanted to be part of this program and give back to the community

Madison Heights and Kelley Place is the first specialty care community to focus on memory care in Enterprise, Alabama. Naturally, their weevil had to represent the individuals and families who suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia daily.
Mr. Geri Patrick Weevil is dressed in a purple sports coat, a representation of the Alzheimer’s Association. His navy-blue slacks are the signature color for Atlas Senior living. His cul-de-sac hairstyle, glasses, and cane are a few common sights seen when visiting the beautiful people who reside in the community. It is a shared hope that Mr. Geri Patrick Weevil will inspire and encourage more people to educate themselves regarding Memory Care communities, and to know there is help right around the corner.
