1. **Remove Hazards:** Clear pathways of any clutter or tripping hazards to prevent falls. Secure loose rugs, and ensure adequate lighting in all areas.

2. **Accessible Living Spaces:** Arrange commonly used items within easy reach. Consider installing grab bars in bathrooms and handrails on stairs for added support.

3. **Comfortable Furniture:** Opt for supportive chairs and beds to promote good posture and prevent discomfort. Add cushions and pillows for extra comfort.

4. **Emergency Preparedness:** Keep important phone numbers, medical information, and emergency supplies readily accessible. Consider installing emergency alert systems for peace of mind.

5. **Social Spaces:** Create inviting spaces for socializing and relaxation. Arrange seating areas with comfortable chairs and good lighting for reading or hobbies.

3. **Invest in Safety:** Ensure your home is safe and accessible for your future needs. Install handrails, grab bars, and adequate lighting to prevent accidents.

4. **Maximize Savings:** Take advantage of retirement savings accounts like 401(k)s and IRAs. Consider consulting a financial advisor to optimize your investments.

5. **Explore Senior Living Options:** Research different senior living communities and consider your preferences for future care needs. Legacy Ridge at Trussville offers a range of amenities and services tailored to retirees.
