Italian Legacy

A Timeline
“From the grandeur of Roman amphitheaters to the visionary works of Renzo Piano, Italian architecture is a living testament to art across the ages. Timeless.”

Rome, the Eternal City, is an open-air museum. Walk its cobblestone streets to witness the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, and fountains that whisper stories of empire and artistry.

Italy, the birthplace of the Renaissance, gave the world great artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Titian. With world-renowned cuisine, iconic design, and a rich musical legacy featuring maestros such as Vivaldi, Verdi, Puccini, Ennio Morricone, and Nino Rota, Italy remains an eternal source of inspiration.

National Quilting Day March 15th

National Quilting Day recognizes quiltmakers and their quilt-making abilities. The word ‘quilt’ comes from the Latin word ‘culcita,’ which means stuffed sack, it became adapted to the English language from the French word ‘cuilte.’

Quilting practices can be found in almost every area of the world, and it is celebrated on the third Saturday in March every year. The National Quilting Association started National Quilting Day in 1991 and since then it has grown into a global celebration for all quilt lovers and makers.

Honoring Irish Culture

St. Patricks Day, honoring Irish culture

St. Patrick’s Day, celebrated on March 17th, is a cultural and religious holiday honoring St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Originally a religious feast day, it has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture, marked by parades, wearing green attire, and enjoying Irish food, music, and drinks.

St. Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint, was born in Roman Britain in the late 4th or early 5th century. As a teenager, he was kidnapped by Irish raiders and enslaved, turning to Christianity for strength. After escaping, he felt called to return to Ireland as a missionary, spreading Christianity and using symbols like the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity. He helped establish churches, schools, and monasteries, leaving a lasting impact on Ireland.

Legends say he drove snakes out of Ireland, though this is likely symbolic. He died on March 17, around 461 AD, a date now celebrated as St. Patrick’s Day—a global festival honoring Irish culture.

In Astrology, those born between March 1–20 are Pisces, the Fish. Selfless, spiritual, and intuitive, Pisces swim an inner journey. They’re emotional, compassionate people, always willing to help others. Those born from March 21–31 are Aries, the Ram. Rams are adventurous go-getters, full of enthusiasm, charm, and energy. They make dynamic pioneers and adventurers, undeterred when the going gets rough.
