Spotlights

We will have our monthly birthday celebration with cake and ice cream!

The Tudor Rose

A timeless symbol of unity, the Tudor Rose combines the red rose of Lancaster and the white rose of York—emblems of rival houses during the Wars of the Roses. When Henry VII united the two through marriage, this floral symbol became a lasting emblem of peace and the English crown.

Associate of the Month

Martine Guerrier Ceritil

This month we recognize Martine Guerrier Ceritil. She has been with us at Legacy Ridge Marietta for over three years. Her passion is helping people where they need it. You can always find her walking with calm and poise as she serves the residents.

Martine has future goals in pursuing additional certifications to advance her expertise and future opportunities. She would describe herself as compassionate, active, and collaborative. These characteristics make her a great team player.

She mentions that if she could have another job for the day, it would be being a Med Tech. Yet another job that serves her residents and that’s why we honor her this month. Congratulations Martine!

98th Birthday Celebration and Decade Resident, Toby!

98th Birthday Celebration and Decade Resident

We recognized Toby in our community. Toby has been part of our community for a decade. Every day that she has been here has been a smile to share and love to give. We love her here and had to recognize.

In addition to her decade of being a resident, she also celebrated her 98th birthday. She loved the attention of being one of the best things that came out of 1927!

Her family joined us as we celebrated her with pictures, posters, cards, balloons, and delicious cake! Cheers to more years to come!

English Heart

Alexa play "Sympathy for the Devil" from "The Rolling Stones"

Opening Beggars Banquet with samba rhythms and sinister charm, “Sympathy for the Devil” casts Mick Jagger as a suave Lucifer recounting humanity’s darkest moments. It’s provocative, theatrical, and brilliantly layered — with congas, piano, and a chorus that grows into chaos. More than a song, it’s a challenge: to question evil, complicity, and the face it wears. One of rock’s most daring statements, and a defining moment in The Rolling Stones’ legacy.

AI Classes Are Coming!

How excited we are to begin our AI club. Our friends at the Cobb Library are facilitating for us and we are so excited to have them. How AI Can Tackle The Issues Facing Senior Care Medical care can be one of an older adult’s most important and challenging aspects of daily life. Regular in-person visits with medical professionals can be inconvenient and stressful, especially for those who need to arrange travel and physical aid accommodations.

Wearables and remote monitoring technologies have provided a way for healthcare providers to monitor and track the biodata of their patients without needing to see them in person, and AI-enabled processing helps predict the moments when patients will need more acute care. This allows for convenient and continuous care for older patients, reducing unnecessary in-person visits where access may be challenging.

We can’t help but include that our Speak 2 devices will be one of the best tools to use with our residents.

Welcome to England
Around the World with Atlas

England’s story begins long before it was called by that name—when Celtic Britons inhabited its misty hills and Roman legions reached the edge of their empire in a land they called Britannia. Though Rome left its mark with roads, baths, and Hadrian’s Wall, the far north—home to fierce tribes and enigmatic druids—remained unconquered. After the Romans withdrew, waves of Saxon settlers shaped a new identity, giving birth to a nation where myth and history often blur.

At the heart of this early tapestry is the legend of King Arthur, the once and future king said to have united Britain with the help of Merlin the wizard, the sword Excalibur, and the noble Knights of the Round Table. Whether myth or memory, these tales reveal England’s deep-rooted fascination with destiny, honor, and the magic of storytelling—traditions that would shape its greatest literary voices.

From the poetic grandeur of Shakespeare to the epic realms of J.R.R. Tolkien and the modern wizarding world of J.K. Rowling, English literature has enchanted readers across centuries. And in music, few countries have left such a global imprint. With sounds ranging from the rebellious rock of The Rolling Stones to the dreamscapes of Pink Floyd, and the timeless genius of The Beatles and David Bowie, England’s cultural output is as powerful and enduring as its history.

Trivia time is growing!!!

We are so happy to see that trivia is a fade in our community! From Assited Living side to The Spirit Memory Care side, we see those amazingly knowledgeable minds going! Currently we have Team Trivia and Tech Trivia with 360 Games. In addition, we have True or False time as well with props and it is always a great time.

Trivia games offer numerous benefits for seniors. Participating in trivia can help improve cognitive function and boost mental acuity in seniors. Furthermore, trivia nights provide an opportunity for seniors to socialize and form connections with others in a fun and relaxed environment.

Take Me to The Salon!

Take Me to The Salon!

Here at Legacy Ridge Marietta, we pride ourselves on our residents feeling well but also looking good as well. We have our stylist, Crystal Johnson, that comes twice a week. She brings experience and expertise in her field. The residents love to be pampered, so they love when it’s their turn.

For many elderly people, grooming is no longer a simple part of their daily life. Tasks as easy as brushing hair and trimming nails can become difficult for them because their mobility decreases and energy wanes. These challenges often go unnoticed until they start to affect the overall health and well-being of seniors.

Proper grooming is more than just looking good but also feeling good. It supports their physical health, prevents common hygiene-related issues, and boosts their emotional confidence. It is a form of care that acknowledges and respects their dignity.

If you want to book an appt for your loved one, please reach out to concierge for information.
