Atlas Senior Living Partners with Curana Health to Deliver Value-Based Care Across 35 Communities

Dear Residents and Families,
Effective August 30, 2024, Reliant Geriatrics will no longer operate within our building. We understand this may come as short notice, but we have a well-prepared plan to ensure continued medical care for your loved ones with our new in-house provider, Curana Health.

To facilitate this transition, consent forms for Curana Health services can be obtained from our Resident Care Coordinator, Kim, or our Front Desk Liaison, Stephanie.
We invite you to join us for an important Family Meeting on August 27, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where we will introduce Curana Health and address any questions or concerns you may have. Kim Thompson and Lisa Hawkins will be available to provide information and assistance.

To streamline the process, we kindly request that all consent forms be completed and returned to Kim or Stephanie at the front desk before August 30, 2024.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this transition. We are committed to ensuring continuity of care and are here to support you every step of the way.

Resident of the Month

Bill Peacock

Bill Peacock, Resident of the Month, August 2024 | Spring Park Travelers Rest

Bill Peacock, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, began his journey with a passion for music, majoring in voice at LSU. It was during his time there that he met Terry, his future wife, while actively involved in ministries at the Baptist Student Union. Their union lasted for 61 years until Terry passed away in 2019.
Bill’s educational path led him to the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he pursued degrees in Sacred Music and Christian Education, eventually earning a Master of Divinity. His career started as a music minister and progressed to pastoral roles in several churches across Louisiana and Mississippi.
In 1968, Bill and Terry were appointed as missionaries with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board, beginning a transformative chapter in South Korea where they spent fourteen years. Their family expanded during this time to include six members, but now, Bill has a total of four children, thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
After 18 additional years working at the SBC International Mission Board in Richmond, Virginia, Bill and Terry moved to Marietta, South Carolina to build their retirement house onto the family land of their oldest daughter. It became a cherished haven for their later years.
In addition to singing, preaching, and teaching, Bill has loved to fish, garden, and build things with his hands. Despite extensive travels—visiting over 70 countries through ministry and family trips—Bill has always treasured having a place to call home. For the past 5 ½ years, Spring Park has provided him with a sense of security, care, and companionship.
