Executive Director Corner

Legacy Ridge at Peachtree | Nathalie White

Happy Spring! We are so looking forward to the weather warming up and us bringing back one of our favorite activities: Golf Cart Rides! We’re eager to restart our garden club, but we will be waiting until after Easter to ensure the last freeze of the season has passed us.

This month we will be exploring the Grand Canyon as a part of our National Parks Program. Keep in mind to look out for any activity with a *NP* beside it for events that are a part of this program.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Town Hall Meeting last month. We will host this open-forum-style gathering with all of our managers quarterly and we hope to see you all at the next one!

Should you need to reach us after hours, you can call 470-522-6744 to reach us. As always, my door is always open should you have any questions or concerns.

Resident of the Month

Glynda Jones

Glynda Jones

Meet our March resident of the month: Glynda Jones! Glynda is a Bassfield, Mississippi native who group up as the youngest in a large family of nine! When reminiscing on her younger years, she gleefully proclaims “God really blessed us with a wonderful family!”.

Glynda’s love story began at a local county fair, where she met her husband, James Lee Jones. She recalls having eaten too much chocolate cake that day when they decided to brave the fair rides. Unfortunately, this resulted in Glynda becoming sick from all of the commotion. Despite the circumstances Glynda cherishes the memory of James being a complete gentleman, taking care of her and ensuring that she got home safely – marking the beginning of their beautiful journey together.

Mr. Jones worked in the news field and was a general in the army while Glynda worked as a 1st grade schoolteacher until they had their daughter, Shannan. Glynda’s fondest memory of growing up is when her parents gifted her with a Singer Sewing Machine. She learned how to sew in her home economics class and with this gift from her parents, Glynda became a sewing expert. She passionately recommends everyone should learn how to sew.

Pictured is Glynda with her hand-sewn bunny rabbit, which sits proudly displayed on the shelves outside of her room. While Glynda does not do much sewing these days, she still is a social butterfly. Some of her favorite activities here include bingo, happy hour, chair exercise, and craft time! Glynda is known for her sweet demur, always ready to share a smile and brighten your day. We feel quite lucky to have Glynda Jones as a part of our Legacy Ridge Family.

Associate of the Month

Stefany Williams

Stefany Williams

Stefany spent her childhood in Panama but moved the US with her family due to her father’s military career. She has been cooking since she was only 8 years old – her mother was also a chef. Her favorite meal to cook is Mexican, more specifically fajitas! Stefany has two brothers, two sisters, and 3 children of her own. In her free time, Stefany enjoys gardening, sewing, and thrifting. In fact, she is such an expert thrifter that she will travel to neighboring states to explore the hottest sales and deals. When she decides to stay local, Stefany starts her thrift drive in north Atlanta, and then slowly makes her way back down to south Atlanta, stopping at all the thrift stores along the way of course. Prior to her career in the food service industry, she spent 20 years as a medical office administrator. When her children moved out and the nest became empty, she decided to go to culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu and the rest is history! Since her start in this industry, she has worked at restaurants, fast food joints, hospitals, and even Disney, but senior living dining is her favorite and most fulfilling job that she has ever had. When she’s not cooking up something delicious for us to eat, you can often find Stefany chatting and even dancing with our residents during our ever-popular happy hours. We are thankful to have her joyous and easygoing personality as a part of our Legacy Ridge at Peachtree Family!
