About our new Salon Stylist!

About our new Salon Stylist!

My name is Lisa Kallhoff and I’ve been a cosmetologist for 20 years. I was raised in the suburbs of Chicago but in my 20s I moved to Wichita, KS, which is where I fell in love with doing hair and nails for seniors. While there, I also worked as a private duty manager for homebound community members. My husband, son, and I moved to GA four years ago and we love it! We have 2 dogs, Zoey and Opie, and 2 cats, Wally and Willow. I love to be outdoors, craft, and make people look and feel beautiful! I look forward to meeting everyone and welcoming them into the beauty shop for hair care or manicures!

Resident of the Month

Bernice Jackson

Bernice Jackson Resident of the Month

Our June resident of the month is Bernice Jackson! Bernice was born and raised in Daviston, AL. Growing up, she remembers enjoying skating with her friends, going into town to get her hair done, and spending Saturday nights out dancing – where she met her husband, Bobby. After their first date, Bernice told her friend “That is the man I am going to marry”. Bernice worked as a machine operator for TDK, a company excelling in the production of DVDs, cassette tapes, etc., while Bobby worked as a schoolteacher. They spent 48 happy years together before her husband passed away from cancer. They had two children Jason, who passed away in his 50s, and Michael, who lives in Dacula, GA. At Legacy Ridge at Peachtree, some of Bernice’s favorite activities include our exercise classes and our live entertainment socials. She also enjoys spending time in her room with the company of a good book. When asked what her best piece of advice it, Bernice replied “Always be yourself, don’t try to be anybody else.” We love having Bernice as a part of our Legacy Family!

Associate of the Month

Abby Bremer

Abby Bremer Associate of the Month

Please join us in congratulating our June employee of the month, Abby Bremer! Abby works as a server in our dining room typically on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. She is part of what makes our dining experience so great, as she always greets our residents with a smile and a warm welcome. Abby has lived in Peachtree City, GA her whole life. She is currently a junior at McIntosh High School but is already set to graduate early. She also takes core curriculum classes at Southern Crescent College. Upon her high school graduation, Abby plans to continue attending Southern Cresent where she will begin her journey to become a radiologist, either with MRIs or Ultrasounds. Abby has 4 dogs, a German Sheppard (her favorite), 2 doodles, and one lab, as well as a cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends riding around on our beautiful golf cart paths or going to see movies. A couple of her favorite movies include Clueless and Avatar. When asked what her best piece of advice is, Abby says “Stay openminded and persevere through difficult days”. Abby is one of the most determined, hard-working, and diligent highschoolers we have ever met. We are so happy that we get to have her kind soul as a part of our Legacy Family!
