Birmingham, Alabama and Austin, Texas (July 25, 2024) – Atlas Senior Living, a leader in senior living communities across the Southeast United States, has partnered with Curana Health, a leading provider of value-based care for senior living residents, to offer comprehensive healthcare services to its residents.
The collaboration will provide residents of Atlas Senior Living’s 35 communities with concierge-style access to Curana’s primary care services in their residences and dedicated clinic spaces, including: routine preventive care, urgent care, palliative care, and 24/7 access to clinicians. Additionally, Curana clinicians will offer medication reconciliation, phlebotomy services, coordination of on-site imaging, and overall coordination of care.
Atlas Senior Living’s communities will also be participating in Curana’s Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and High Needs REACH ACOs, which allow participating communities to earn shared savings by improving quality of care and reducing unnecessary costs for their residents. Curana will also begin offering the Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) Model at Atlas Senior Living communities in July 2025. GUIDE is a Medicare alternative payment model designed to support individuals living with dementia and their caregivers through increased care coordination and improved access to services.
