Music Therapy for Memory Care

Activities Legacy Reserve at fritz Farm

At Legacy Reserve Fritz Farm, we are committed to enhancing the lives of our Memory Care residents through innovative and thoughtfully designed activities. Our approach focuses on engaging residents in ways that promote cognitive stimulation, emotional connection, and physical wellness.
This month, we’ve introduced several new activities that are already having a positive impact. One such innovation is our new music therapist Zack. He provides a program where residents engage with familiar tunes from their past, which has proven to enhance memory recall and emotional wellbeing. Additionally, we’ve incorporated sensory gardens that provide tactile feedback and help residents connect with nature, supporting stress reduction and mental clarity.

Our dedicated Activity Assistant, Kris Sisman, has been instrumental in developing these programs. Her expertise in creating tailored activities that resonate with our residents’ personal histories and preferences is truly remarkable. These activities are not only fun but are strategically designed to support the cognitive functions of our residents.
