Houston Babcock
Our Resident of the Month, Dr. Houston Babcock of Sanford, has lived a remarkable life filled with passion, dedication, and accomplishment. From a young age, he loved music and was especially passionate about the violin and bass horn, even dreaming of becoming a professional violinist. He later discovered that medicine was his true calling.
Dr. Babcock attended Vanderbilt University for medical school and became a neurosurgeon specializing in brain and spine care. After completing nine years of training, he practiced medicine in Fort Myers, where he and his wife, Susan, raised their four daughters.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Babcock enjoyed life on the water. Living in Florida sparked a passion for boating, and over the years he owned boats ranging from 16 to 60 feet. His love for boating led him to serve as Commodore of the local yacht club. We are honored to recognize Dr. Babcock as our Resident of the Month and celebrate the incredible experiences and accomplishments he has shared throughout his life.
