Ranon Hollway

DINING SERVICE DIRECTOR

“Eat to live, live to eat!”

Food and ingredients have always been the center of Chef Ranon’s passion. From nutritional sustenance to cultural cuisines and new preparation techniques, he is always in a state of learning to better share his knowledge and passion for all things culinary.

A graduate of the local Culinary Institute of the Carolinas at Greenville Technical College, Chef Ranon has been in the food industry for 20 years, beginning his career at age 14 as a catering assistant under his mother. Over the years between hotels, restaurants, and senior living communities Ranon has developed and honed his skill, knowledge and leadership in restaurant quality dining for the aging clientele.

His grandparents have been his biggest inspiration for senior care. Both military veterans and nature enthusiasts. Chef Ranon furthered his love of food and nature from early morning breakfasts at his grandparents’ place and eating MRE’s on camping trips with his grandfather. When not in the kitchen he can be found outdoors hiking; locally or on nearby mountain trails. His goal in life is to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and hike the Appalachian Trail. Chef Ranon also has a daughter in high school who is showing signs of culinary interest and a love of horses.
