Evelia Rio Associate of the Month

Originally from Cuba, Evelia has become a beloved caretaker in our Memory Care community, where she is known for her compassionate heart and dedication to the residents, who absolutely adore her. Her warmth and kindness make a lasting impact on everyone she cares for.
At home, she is a devoted wife and proud mother to two sons, balancing her nurturing role at work with the love she gives her family.

Community News

We are delighted to welcome Karen Allm as our new Wellness Director! Karen brings a wealth of experience and passion for enhancing resident well-being, and we’re excited to have her as part of our community.

For your convenience, work orders can be submitted through Alexa or at the Concierge Desk. Requests will be addressed as promptly as possible, with priority given to those that are most urgent.

At the recent Town Hall meeting on 9/17, we kindly reminded everyone that the bus for outings will depart right on time. To ensure smooth and enjoyable trips for all, we ask that you please be onboard by the scheduled time. This helps us avoid delays and keeps things running smoothly for everyone. Similarly, when asked to meet the bus at a given time, please be at the bus at that time, otherwise it may affect your ability to attend future outings.

Looking ahead to October, we’re thrilled to introduce some wonderful new activities! Many of these are Director-led, and because of limited supplies, certain activities will require sign-ups. You’ll notice these on the calendar, marked with an asterisk (*), and the sign-up sheets will be available in the downstairs living room.

We’re excited about these upcoming changes and look forward to continuing to make our community a lively, engaging place to live!

The most popular months to visit are May through September. During the busy summer season, most roads and facilities are open and a full range of programs are available to enjoy.

Adventure Ahead!

Adventure Ahead!

We continue to have fun outings, filled with adventure, good company, and plenty of fun stories! Recently, we rented out Cinema 6 for a private showing of the heartwarming film Secondhand Lions. Residents enjoyed a cozy movie experience complete with beverages and popcorn, making it a delightful day at the theater.
Our Assisted Living residents also enjoyed an exciting trip to the Hard Rock Casino. While no one hit the jackpot, the real win was the great time we had together and the unforgettable stories we brought back with us!
Meanwhile, our Memory Care residents took a sweet trip to the Hudson Beach Ice Cream Parlor, where they indulged in delicious treats and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon by the beach.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! We are looking forward to our upcoming events, which include scenic drives to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, we’ve planned a lunch outing at Inn on the Gulf for our Assisted Living residents, and our Memory Care residents will have a wonderful dining experience at Central Park Family Restaurant.
These outings are a great way for everyone to create new memories, share special moments, and enjoy the vibrant life we celebrate in our community. Stay tuned for more adventures ahead!

Fall Festival

Mark your calendars for an exciting event on October 17th from 4-6 PM—our highly anticipated Fall Festival! This is a wonderful opportunity for residents and their families to come together for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and festive activities.
We have an exciting lineup of entertainment, including a facepainter and a balloon artist to bring out the smiles in everyone. Challenge your friends and family to our variety of games and win some fabulous prizes!
No festival is complete without delicious carnival treats, and we’ve got you covered with cotton candy, sno cones, and other classic favorites. And for a sweet touch of fun, don’t miss out on our kissing booth, which is sure to bring a lot of laughter to the celebration.
Whether you’re coming for the activities, the tasty treats, or just to enjoy the lively atmosphere, this is an event you won’t want to miss. It’s the perfect chance to create new memories with loved ones while embracing the fall spirit.
We can’t wait to see everyone there!

Margaret Margie Perry Resident of the Month

Raised in the heart of West Virginia alongside her 5 brothers and 5 sisters, Margie grew up in a lively household. With a passion for working with children, she spent many years as a dedicated teachers aide, nurturing young minds and making a difference in the classroom. In her free time, Margie enjoys cooking and baking, she is also an avid book collector. One of her favorite pastimes is walking along the beach, and she loved collecting shells and sharks teeth.
Family is the center of her heart- she is the proud mother of one daughter, grandmother to four and is absolutely smitten with her red-headed great grandchild (and so are we!). Margie is a wonderful member of our community, and her smile lights up any room.

A Memorable Assisted Living Week

We had an amazing Assisted Living Week and wanted to share some highlights!
We kicked off the week with a wonderful Grandparents Day celebration, featuring the talented Leesah Stiles, who delighted residents and their families. The day was made even more memorable with family photos, capturing precious moments that will be cherished for years to come.
Throughout the week, our Walk Down Memory Lane was a true community favorite. Residents took great pleasure in adding personal photos, mementos, and items that held special meaning to them. Each day, Associates discovered new additions, and it was wonderful to watch this living display grow over the course of the week.
On Traditions Tuesday Associates and Residents shared their heritage and traditions and we were pleasantly surprised when an impromptu concert broke out.
One of the most heartfelt moments was the presentation of our Wisdom Awards. Every single Resident and Associate received a unique award, with each one reflecting their individuality. Alison, who led this activity, shared how much she enjoyed the process of pausing to reflect on each person’s unique qualities.
We wrapped up this incredible week by creating a Time Capsule. Residents and Associates alike contributed meaningful items that captured the spirit of this unforgettable celebration, preserving memories for future generations to discover.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the week such a success.
