Celebrating Lexi Young – Dining Services Superstar!
This month, we are thrilled to recognize Lexi Young as our Associate of the Month! As a valued member of our Dining Services team, she brings warmth, dedication, and a genuine love for serving others to every meal.
Lexi has been part of the Legacy Reserve family for 3 Years, and in that time, she has become known for her bright smile, positive attitude, and outstanding commitment to ensuring every resident enjoys a wonderful dining experience. Whether it’s remembering a favorite dessert, helping a resident find the perfect seat, or lending a hand to a coworker, Lexi goes above and beyond every day.
Australia
Australia, the world’s largest island and smallest continent, is a land of striking contrasts—from its vast deserts and tropical rainforests to its bustling coastal cities. Indigenous Australians have lived on the continent for over 60,000 years, developing rich spiritual traditions and deep connections to the land. Their art, music, and stories remain an essential part of the nation’s cultural identity today.
The Heart of Our Community
At Legacy Reserve, giving back isn’t just something we do — it’s who we are. Every smile shared, every moment spent helping others, and every act of kindness creates a ripple of joy throughout our community.
This month, we’re celebrating the spirit of volunteerism — the selfless energy that keeps our community thriving. Whether it’s helping a neighbor water plants, assisting with crafts in the activity room, or sharing stories with visiting students, our residents prove every day that age is no barrier to making a difference.
How You Can Get Involved
Looking for ways to lend a hand?
- Join our Community Service Club, meeting every Tuesday at 2 p.m.
- Help make care packages for the local shelter.
- Volunteer your talents — whether it’s knitting, singing, or storytelling — to brighten someone’s day.
Together, we can continue to make a difference — one small act of kindness at a time.
“No one is too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis
As we look ahead, let’s keep that spirit of generosity shining bright. Each act of service, no matter how small, adds warmth and meaning to our days and strengthens the bond we share as a community. Thank you to all our residents, families, and staff who give so freely of their time and hearts. Your kindness inspires us all and reminds us that the greatest gift we can offer one another is simply to care.
Welcome to Australia
Around the World with Atlas
Australia, the world’s largest island and smallest continent, is a land of striking contrasts—from its vast deserts and tropical rainforests to its bustling coastal cities. Indigenous Australians have lived on the continent for over 60,000 years, developing rich spiritual traditions and deep connections to the land. Their art, music, and stories remain an essential part of the nation’s cultural identity today.
European settlement began in 1788 with the arrival of the First Fleet from Britain, marking the start of Australia’s colonial era. British influence shaped the nation’s language, institutions, and political systems, though this period also brought immense hardship to Indigenous communities. Over time, Australia evolved from a collection of colonies into a unified federation in 1901, forging its own democratic and multicultural identity.
Modern Australia is known for its relaxed lifestyle, love of the outdoors, and vibrant cultural mix. From iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Uluru to its world-class art, music, and sport, the country reflects both its ancient heritage and modern dynamism—a place where tradition and innovation coexist under the southern sun.
A Season of Gratitude and Togetherness
As autumn leaves paint the world in shades of gold and amber, we at Legacy Reserve Fritz Farm are reminded of all the blessings that surround us each day. Thanksgiving is more than a holiday — it’s a heartfelt reminder to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the people and moments that make life so special. It’s a time to share stories, laughter, and, of course, delicious food with those we care about most.
Here in our community, gratitude fills the air — from the smell of pumpkin pie baking in the kitchen to the laughter echoing through the dining room. Our residents and staff work together to make this season a truly memorable one. Whether it’s crafting festive table centerpieces, watching the parade together, or lending a hand in the kitchen, everyone plays a part in bringing the warmth of Thanksgiving to life.
As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, let’s take a moment to cherish the friendships we’ve built, the stories we’ve shared, and the kindness that makes Legacy Reserve such a special place to call home. Thank you to our residents, families, and staff for filling this community with love, laughter, and gratitude.
“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”
Wishing you all a warm, joyful, and blessed Thanksgiving!
The Importance of Regular Health Screenings and Check-Ups
At Legacy Reserve Fritz Farm, we believe that good health is one of life’s greatest blessings — and taking small steps toward preventive care helps us enjoy life to the fullest. Regular health screenings and check-ups are an important part of staying strong, active, and independent. They allow us to catch potential issues early, keep track of ongoing conditions, and give peace of mind knowing we’re taking charge of our well-being.
Just like changing the oil in a car or tuning up a piano, our bodies need regular attention to stay in harmony. Scheduling routine visits with your doctor, dentist, eye specialist, and other healthcare providers helps ensure that everything is running smoothly. Even when we feel well, those “just to be sure” visits are valuable opportunities to maintain good health — not just to fix problems.
Staying healthy isn’t about perfection — it’s about awareness, prevention, and self-care. Thank you to all our residents who continue to make wellness a community effort by showing up, asking questions, and encouraging one another. Together, we’re building a happier, healthier Legacy Reserve — one check-up at a time!
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” — Benjamin Franklin

The Art of Living: Celebrating Creativity at Legacy Reserve
At Legacy Reserve Fritz Farm, we believe creativity knows no age — it grows, evolves, and blossoms with every life experience. Art gives us a way to express our stories, celebrate memories, and discover new passions. Whether it’s painting, crafting, writing, or music, creativity allows us to connect with ourselves and with one another in the most beautiful ways. There’s something magical about watching residents gather around a table filled with brushes, colors, and laughter. It’s not about perfection — it’s about expression. Each stroke of a brush or note in a song tells a story of resilience, joy, and imagination. Through creativity, we find new purpose, inspiration, and friendship. We encourage everyone — from lifelong artists to first-time creators — to participate. You don’t need experience to create something meaningful; you just need curiosity and an open heart.
Art isn’t just about what we make — it’s about what we feel along the way. Thank you to all our residents who continue to inspire us with their creativity, imagination, and willingness to try something new. Your art brings color, joy, and connection to our community every single day.
“Creativity takes courage.” — Henri Matisse
