Assisted Living & Memory Care

Maggie Wasserman

Hi! I’m originally from Washington, DC, and I’ve always been someone who finds joy in the little things whether it’s playing a melody on the piano or enjoying a classic film. Music has been a constant in my life
I’m a proud parent to two incredible kids, ages 9 and 16, who keep life fun, challenging, and full of purpose. Working at Legacy it’s all about caring for people, showing up with compassion, and making sure those around me feel seen and supported.
My favorite color is green . I’m also a huge fan of 1980s horror movies there’s just something about the nostalgia, the creativity, and the thrill of those old-school scares that I can’t get enough of.
I’m someone who values kindness, creativity, and connection. Whether through music, family, or community, I believe in leaving a legacy rooted in care.

Congratulations to Iftikhar Emily!

My name is Emmalee Volk. I was born and raised in East Aurora, a small town just outside of Buffalo, New York. In 2016, I moved to Greenwood, South Carolina, where I now call home. I’m an only child, but I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by cousins, which made my childhood full of connection and fun.

I have a one-and-a-half-year-old Great Dane named Ashtro he’s my pride and joy. I enjoy all kinds of music, but I was raised on country and classic rock, which will always have a special place in my heart.

I have many passions and hobbies, but helping others especially children is something I’ve always been drawn to. I’ve been a certified CNA for eight years and have volunteered with my local fire department for about a year. I recently completed training for basic EMT and plan to take my national exam by the end of the year. My ultimate goal is to become a paramedic and travel to all 50 states.

Another passion of mine is photography. I love capturing life’s special moments and helping people see the world through a creative and meaningful lens. Traveling is also something I deeply enjoy—one of my most memorable trips was to Uganda, Africa in 2014, and I’ve also journeyed down the East Coast from New York to Louisiana.

What I appreciate most about Legacy is the supportive atmosphere. The staff is always willing to step in and help where needed, and that sense of community means a lot to me.

Chloe Ferrell

Hi, my name is Chloe Ferrell, and I am from Rogersville, Tennessee. I moved to Piedmont, South Carolina, at the age of twelve (12), and now I’m currently enrolled at Woodmont High School as a rising senior. I am 16 years old and will be graduating early this year. I started working for Legacy Reserve in 2025 and have enjoyed every moment of it.

I enjoy interacting with the residents because they are truly knowledgeable and kind-spirited. This job has enabled me to become a more critical thinker and problem solver, thanks to my job duties. No, two people are the same, so being able to accommodate residents is a goal that I aim to reach on every shift.

When I’m not at school or work, I like spending my free time sleeping and watching TV. I am also a “foodie,” and I like experiencing meals of distinct cultures. Some of my favorite foods include spaghetti, chicken, and fries.

I am so incredibly honored to be recognized as Employee of the Month. I am thankful to be part of the work crew here at Legacy Reserve because they represent the true motto of being no “I” in team.
