Lakeside assisted living and memory care community joins Atlas’ growing metro Atlanta family
ROSWELL, Ga., Oct. 5, 2026 – Atlas Senior Living, a Birmingham-based senior living owner and operator,
has welcomed The Georgian Lakeside, a 95-unit assisted living and memory care community at 1070
Hardscrabble Road in Roswell, into the Atlas family.
Atlas began operating the community on Oct. 1, succeeding its previous operator, Cogir Senior Living.
Set on a five-acre lake near the intersection of Highway 92 and Hardscrabble Road, The Georgian Lakeside opened in 2016 and offers 70 assisted living and 25 memory care apartments in a three-story, Georgian style building. Amenities include multiple dining venues and a private dining room, a theater, salon, library, fitness center and on-site therapy services.
“We’re honored to welcome the residents, families and associates of The Georgian Lakeside to Atlas,” said Scott Goldberg, co-founder, president and CEO of Atlas Senior Living. “This community already has a beautiful setting and a strong culture, and our goal is to build on it. Growing in metro Atlanta means more support and more opportunities for our associates, and that’s what allows them to keep residents at the
center of everything we do.”
Residents can expect continuity in their daily routines and care, and Atlas’ regional team will support the
community’s associates throughout the transition. In the coming months, Atlas will introduce its signature
programs at the community: flexible dining that lets residents choose what, when and where they eat; the
Academy Lifestyles educational series, which adds seminars, presentations and events to the monthly
activity calendar; and the SPIRIT Memory Care Program, which tailors each memory care resident’s day to their strengths and identity.
The Georgian Lakeside is Atlas’ sixth community in metro Atlanta, joining Legacy Ridge at Alpharetta,
Legacy Ridge at Buckhead, Legacy Ridge at Marietta, The Canopy at Westridge in McDonough and The
Overlook at Suwanee. Atlas now operates nine communities across Georgia.
