Atlas Senior Living Adds 2 Alabama Communities to Management Portfolio

October 1, 2024 — Atlas Senior Living is growing again by taking over management of two communities in Alabama: Monark Grove Madison in Madison and Monark Grove Greystone in Birmingham.

With this expansion, Atlas is reaffirming its commitment to offering top-tier care and services, giving seniors the support and lifestyle they deserve. KIRCO, a nationally-recognized commercial real estate development and investment firm based out of Troy, MI built and owns the communities, and is also a partner with Atlas at the Legacy Reserve at Fritz Farm community in Lexington, KY.

“We are excited about the passion, dedication and expertise that the Atlas team will bring to the two Alabama Monark Grove communities,” said Matt Coughenour, Vice President, Senior Living at KIRCO.  “Our experience working together in Kentucky has set a high bar, and we look forward to continuing to redefine the senior living experience through our expanded collaboration.”

The two Monark communities will expand Atlas’ growing portfolio in Alabama, which now includes six properties in Enterprise, Trussville, Athens, Madison with two communities, and Birmingham, where Atlas’ corporate headquarters is also located.

Monark Grove Madison offers a blend of independent living and specialized memory care designed to meet the diverse needs of its residents. The community’s focus on both independence and memory care ensures a secure, enriching environment that caters to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of its residents.

Monark Grove Greystone is set to provide the same level of superior care and services, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. With an emphasis on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, Monark Grove Greystone offers residents personalized care options, luxury amenities, and an active lifestyle designed to support their independence.

“Our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors throughout the Southeast remains strong, and we look forward to bringing our dedicated services to these locations,” states Scott Goldberg, Co-founder, President, and CEO of Atlas Senior Living. “Our Birmingham-based teams are ready to jump in and ensure a positive and enriching environment for the residents and staff.”

The addition of these two new communities marks an important milestone for Atlas Senior Living, enhancing the company’s ability to serve seniors across Alabama and the Southeast with compassion, innovation, and excellence. Earlier this summer, Atlas acquired three Orlando-area communities in Ocoee, Oviedo, and Clermont.
