Happy New Year - 2025

New Year’s is a time to celebrate with joy and excitement around the world. People often reflect on the past year and set resolutions for the new one. New Year’s celebrations include traditions like ringing in the New Year with champagne, watching the ball drop-in Times Square, and eating leafy greens. The Times Square Ball drop tradition began in 1907 with a 700-pound iron ball covered in light bulbs. The current ball is covered in LED lamps and Waterford Crystal panels and weighs almost 12,000 pounds. The first New Year’s celebration is thought to date back 4,000 years. The New Year symbolizes a fresh start and a sense of hope. It’s a time to set goals and seize new opportunities.

Around the Word - Brazil

This month we are traveling to Brazil to learn and appreciate the culture. Here are some fun facts that you probably didn’t know about Brazil.

Brazil is the largest country in South America, is the world’s fifth largest country, and its official language is Portuguese; its capital city is BrasĂlia, a planned city designed to be located more centrally within the country.

Brazil also is one of the leading global producers of coffee and the fifth largest nation in the world. It shares a border with every South American country with the exception of Ecuador and Chile. The size helps it be one of the world’s most bio-diverse countries, estimated to have about 4 million plant and animal species.

Previous Month's Events

Last month the community was filled with joy and lots of Christmas spirit. We had lots of fun activities planned with the help of our Sales director Becca. Thank you to all the entertainers, carolers, and to Santa for visiting and making sure no one felt left out. Wishing everyone a happy holiday and a great year moving forward.
