Resident of the Month

Mr. and Mrs. Duplessis were selected to be July’s Residents of the Month! Although “Ritha” and “Michael” are new to our community, they have been recognized as residents of the month do to their outgoing personalities, willingness to help others, attendance to daily activity programs and outings.
Mr. and Mrs. Duplessis have been happily married for more than 50 years and are the proud parents of two children. They are originally from South Africa but frequently came to Florida on vacations throughout their lifetime and truly loved America. To their surprise their names were selected as winners of the “Green Card Lottery” held in South Africa and they were granted citizenship many years ago. Michael worked at the newspaper for many years taking photos and turning them into metal plates to print the photos into the daily newspapers and “Ritha” worked as a secretary. His hobbies include gardening, working with tools on remodeling projects and she enjoys playing bingo, art projects, gardening, music and going on outings.
