Resident of the Month

Mr. Ron Shaw was elected to be April’s resident of month because of his outgoing personality and willingness to assist others. He moved to Clermont, Florida from his home state of New York. Ron met his wife when he was just 16 years old and a sophomore in high school, they were happily married for 59 years and have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Shaw attended Clarkson University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He went on to attend Law School at Albany University. He then joined Air Force and worked as a Nuclear Missile Technician for 5 years. After leaving the service he worked as a defense attorney and district attorney. Ron enjoyed playing basketball, football and rugby during high school and in college. His favorite food is potato salad. His favorite color is yellow. His favorite car was his Austin-Healey. Today, Mr. Shaw enjoys going on outings, playing bingo, participating in our daily exercise class, live entertainment and attending special events.
