This month we would like to recognize all the Madison at Clermont veterans for their service in the armed forces. Their selfless dedication to our freedom has allowed us to live a beautiful life with our loved ones. Management, staff and residents thank you for your service and love for the United States. Business Office Coordinator Elizabeth Guzman
We would like to welcome our new Business Office Coordinator, Elizabeth Guzman, to the Madison at Clermont family. Elizabeth has been married for 15 years and has a 7-year-old son. She is a Florida native that has lived in Lake County a large part of her life. Most of her professional work has been spent in the respiratory and medical equipment field. A few fun facts about Elizabeth are that she makes her own soap, her favorite color is green, and she loves her family and 3 dogs.

I am thrilled to announce that I am stepping into the role of Executive Director at the Madison at Clermont! This opportunity fills me with excitement as I look forward to infusing our community with life and love. My vision is to make the Madison the premier senior living community in the area, where every resident feels valued and engaged.
Together, we will cultivate a vibrant environment that fosters connection, joy, and fulfillment. I am eager to collaborate with our dedicated team, residents, and families to create unforgettable experiences. Thank you for your unwavering support as we embark on this journey together. Thanksgiving is a time of fellowship with family and friends to make memories that last forever. We hope that you, your family and friends celebrate with each other during Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for and we love that you are a part of the Madison family. Chef Ashely Taylor and her staff would like to invite you and your family to join us on November 28, 2024, at 12pm for Thanksgiving Dinner. Getting out and making new friends in a new place can be difficult. If you are looking to meet the other residents, we encourage all residents to attend the Getting to Know YOU segment once a month. This is where you can speak with other residents and learn about each other. We have so many great residents that live here and have done some very impressive things in their careers before retiring. The one-hour chat is very informal and led by the Lifestyles Director. Please come to our next Getting to Know YOU October 9, 2024, at 3pm in the lobby. We look forward to getting to know you!

Recipe Spotlight:
Crawfish Fettuccine
Ingredients:
Fettuccine Noodles
Crawfish, shrimp and crab boil seasoning
Butter, unsalted
Shallots
Garlic Cloves
Creole Seasoning
Worcestershire Sauce
Cream of Chicken Soup
Velveeta Cheese
Canned Tomatoes and Chilies
Crawfish Tail Meat
Green Onions
Directions:
Boil water with seafood seasoning, cook fettuccine until al dente, then drain (save some pasta water).
In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat, cook shallots and garlic until translucent.
Add chicken soup, Creole seasoning, tomatoes, chilies, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil.
Stir in cubed Velveeta until melted.
Add crawfish tails and green onions; cook for 2 minutes.
Combine fettuccine with the sauce. Cover and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Serve.
Resident of the Month
Albert Mydin
Albert Mydin is our resident of the month for November. If you ever get the chance to speak with Albert, he will tell you that he loves trains and can tell you all about them. For his professional career he served in the US Air Force for 4 years and then went on to work in Washington DC in the transportation department where he retired. His humble personality is a pleasure to be around.
Associate of the Month
Mark Bryce
Mark Bryce is a native of Jamaica who loves cooking. A little something that you may not know about Mark is that he is an entrepreneur and great businessman. The residents love his attention to detail when serving their tables. Mark’s work ethic and dedication to his job speaks a multitude about his character. We are happy to say that Mark Bryce is our employee of the month for November.
