We would all love to accomplish this milestone in our life, being healthy 100 years of age. Mr. Jerome Rosenberg motivates others through his kind words and inspiration by being an active resident, exercising at least 3 times per week and walking daily. Last month we celebrated his birth along with his family and friends here at Madison at Clermont. Mr. Rosenberg was honored with a proclamation from the City of Clermont Mayor Tim Murry. The life of Mr. Rosenberg is filled with so many great achievements from being a World War II and Korean War vet to being married for 78 years to his beautiful wife. He is loved by his family and friends, and we are so happy we could share in celebrating his 100th birthday!

The famous Aztec Calendar, shown in its original colors, is also known as the “Stone of the Sun.” It depicts the Sun God Tonatiuh, the fifth sun, at its center.

Alexa play "Huapango" from "Jose Pablo Moncayo"

There’s no Mexican who can listen this song without feel an immense joy and pride for México, even if you’re not Mexican it’s impossible not feel shivers listening.

Composed in 1941, Huapango is a brilliant orchestral piece that captures the soul of Mexican folk music, especially the vibrant spirit of the Huasteca region. Moncayo, a classically trained composer and conductor, based the work on the traditional sones huastecos

Memorial Day 2025

This month we celebrate Memorial Day, and we are so honored that we live amongst some of the bravest men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces! We could say so much about these brave soldiers but most of all they love their families, and they care about our freedoms. May 26, 2025, we will celebrate Memorial Day with these brave men and women, who have been in World War II, The Korean war, Vietnam war and Gulf war. Madison at Clermont Staff and residents would like to Thank You for your service and dedication to our country!

Viva México !!
Around the World with Atlas

A Land of Spirit, Color, and Eternal Stories, Mexico is more than a country—it’s a heartbeat, a song carried by the wind across deserts, jungles, mountains, and beautyful beaches. A place where ancient civilizations whisper through pyramids and murals, and modern life dances to the rhythm of a strong and unique cultural heritage.

The word “México” comes from the Náhuatl words “Metztli” (moon) and “xictli” (navel or belly button), meaning “the belly button of the moon.” The Mexicas pronounced it “Meshico.”

According to legend, the Mexica people were the last of the nomadic tribes to arrive in central Anáhuac (yep, that was the ancient name for the heartland of what’s now Mexico). They came from a mythical island called Aztlán—which is why they’re also called Aztecs. They were searching for a sign sent by their main god, Huitzilopochtli: an eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus, devouring a snake. That was the sacred place where they were to build their city.

And they did find it—right in the middle of a vast lake called Texcoco. Legend says they took refuge on that small patch of land in the lake and founded their settlement, Tenochtitlan, around 1325. By the time the Spanish arrived in 1519, they were stunned by the sight of a majestic, dream-like well-organized metropolis—Tenochtitlan—one of the largest cities in the world at that time.

Easter Baskets

Last month we were able to give two schools easter baskets. Our residents enjoy being an active part of our Clermont community. This is the second year that the residents have done something for our local schools. If you know of any projects that we can be a part of in the Clermont community or if you have an idea of something the residents can help with, please email mahern@madisonatclermont.com.

Madison Outings

Last month we had Winnie Reyes for Cornerstone treat our residents to lunch. The residents had a great time fellowshipping with Ms. Reyes. Madison at Clermont is so grateful for the many partnerships that we have established with companies like Cornerstone. We like to encourage the residents to get out and explore our beautiful Clermont community and each month we have a few restaurants that we will place on our calendar. Just like this meal, it was free to the residents because they used their Madison dollars. With Madison dollars residents can take free trips and shop here in our Madison store. We use Madison dollars to encourage the residents to stay active with all our activities throughout the month. We look forward to seeing you on our next outing.

Around the world with Atlas

Many of us have never been to Greece but last month our residents had a fantastic Toga Party with residents and their families. We enjoy celebrating any occasion to have a party! This month we will celebrate Mexico. Make sure you are ready for a month of fun! We will show some great movies along with some great entertainment. Look inside at our calendar for all the great fun this month!
