Resident’s Birthdays
Charlotte Damon – March 9
Albert Mydin – March 16
Betty James – March 17
Celesta McCarver – March 31
Jackie McPherson – March 31
It is that time of the year again when we will spring forward March 9, 2025. Make sure you change your clocks before you go to sleep so that you’re not the first one at church on Sunday! This idea of changing time came after World War I as an energy saving measure for Germany. The United States adopted the idea in 1918. Now each year we spring forward in the spring and fall back in the fall. So, make sure you move your clocks ahead on Sunday March 9, 2025, by 1 hour!
Italian Tradition
Alexa play "The Ecstasy Of Gold" from "Ennio Morricone"
“The Ecstasy of Gold” (L’estasi dell’oro) is one of Ennio Morricone’s most celebrated compositions, featured in the climactic scene of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966).
It plays during the moment when Tuco (Eli Wallach) frantically runs through the Sad Hill Cemetery, desperately searching for the grave that holds the buried gold.
The piece exemplifies Morricone’s genius, blending classical composition with unconventional sounds to create a piece that feels both cinematic and timeless.
Royal Court
Greetings from the royal court of Madison at Clermont. We are pleased to announce our new King Bob Wightman and new Queen Betty Boatright. They both were caught off guard when they overwhelmingly won. Both Betty and Bob are loved by the residents and the staff. As the new King and Queen, they won a reserved spot for all our entertainment and first to enter the residents Madison Store. Yes, being on the royal court has some perks!
Italian Masters
(Renaissance Amazing Facts)
Tiziano Vecelli, known as Titian, was one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance, celebrated for his mastery of color and dramatic compositions. Born in the Republic of Venice around 1488–1490, he became the official painter of the Venetian Republic and worked for European rulers, including Emperor Charles V, who knighted him—an exceptional honor for an artist.
Thank You
The Love Boat party was fantastic! We would like to thank everyone who came out to help and make the party successful. Thank you to Vitas, Curana Health and Pinnacle for volunteering and providing special items for the residents. Please make sure you keep an eye out for our next event in April. We will be celebrating Greece with a Toga Party April 17, 2025.
