Fashion plays such an important part in our lives. Sharing your style with others can be lots of fun. The Madison at Clermont team wanted to give back to the residents by having an exciting fashion show on Mother’s Day weekend. At the end of the show the residents were able to vote on their favorite looks, along with judging on their favorite personality walking the runway. The winners won prizes, and the residents enjoyed seeing a different side of the staff. Everyone has already asked when we will be doing it again!
Sounds of Peru
Alexa play "If I could" from "Simon & Garfunkel"
“El Cóndor Pasa” is so iconic that, in 2004, Peru declared it part of the nation’s cultural heritage. The original version is an orchestral piece from the 1913 zarzuela El Cóndor Pasa, composed by Peruvian musician Daniel Alomía Robles and inspired by traditional Andean music.
The most internationally recognized version is “El Cóndor Pasa (If I Could)” by Simon & Garfunkel, released in 1970 on their album Bridge over Troubled Water. Among hundreds of officially recognized adaptations, this rendition introduced the song to a global audience.
Associate of the Month
Sonya McCormic

Sonya McCormic is our Employee of the Month. For the last 6 months, Sonya has made each of the residents feel special every day. She has personalized her interactions with the residents and goes above and beyond to be sure they feel valued. We are so proud of the love shared each day with both the residents and the staff! Congratulations Sonya!!
Alexa /Speak 2
Have you spoken to Alexa this morning? She really enjoys having a conversation. Our Alexa devices in each apartment are equipped with special technology called Speak2. Your device can do more than start your day. It can call the clinical staff, front desk, your friends in the building, and your family members at their homes. What makes it so unique is that both the clinical staff and family members can see you on the camera of the device during a call. We are encouraging you to try your device and come to our STEM classes this month where we will show you more fun features and you can pick up your Alexa Playbook.
Welcome to Peru
Around the World with Atlas
Land of Ancient Echoes and Living Wonders
Peru is a place where time weaves a magnificent tapestry of past and present. From the dizzying heights of the Andes to the depths of the Amazon rainforest, Peru is a country of contrasts—mystical, colorful, and vibrantly alive. It’s home to ancient civilizations, awe-inspiring landscapes, and cultural traditions that still pulse with life today.
Whether you’re drawn by the lost city of Machu Picchu, the flavors of ceviche, or the haunting sound of Andean flutes, Peru invites you to explore a land where legends walk beside everyday life.
Intergenerational Programs
The residents love to hear beautiful music and last month we had so many youth organizations interact with the residents, including Jubilant Strings. Intergenerational programing is a large part of our monthly activities. Connecting youth with seniors can be beneficial in fostering understanding between two generations and helping to build lifelong friendships.
Living With Purpose
Living with purpose is one of our initiatives the residents have been working on, and Mr. Jerome “Jerry” Rosenberg exercised his purpose with Montverde Academy by speaking to a room full of students. Mr. Rosenberg was able to give them a glimpse into 100 years of living. One of the things that Mr. Rosenberg encouraged the students with was having a strong connection to their families. Many of the students wrote personal thank you letters to Mr. Rosenberg stating how he impacted their lives. We all need to remember that our purpose never stops, and we all have something that we can give back to our communities.
Thank You Montverde Academy
Montverde Academy is one of our local school partners and they have done so much with Madison at Clermont over the last few years. We just had a one woman show by Maria Julia McLeod playing Sister Maria in her one woman show for Madison at Clermont. Maria took the residents on a great journey through her acting and singing. The residents were impressed by her talents and said that they can’t wait to see her on Broadway! The residents at the Madison would like to thank Adrian Wright-Ahern from Montverde Academy and Maria Julia McLeod for putting on a great production.
