This month we celebrate Independence Day, and it is important to reflect. America gained independence through the dedication of our soldiers. At the end of May we celebrated Memorial Day with the City of Clermont where some of our veterans were recognized by the VFW. We are blessed to have many brave veterans living with us at the Madison at Clermont. The men and women at the Madison at Clermont love our country and they have continued to fight for our freedom. As we celebrate the 4th of July let us remember all those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
Associate of the Month
Haisha Antoine

Haisha Antoine is one of our med techs that has gone above and beyond for the residents. We are happy to say that Haisha is our employee of the month for July. Haisha is a dedicated employee that loves her family and work. She is a native of Haiti and has been married for 10 years with one child. In Haisha’s down time she loves to vacation, dance and listen to music. Congratulations Haisha on being the employee of the month!
Freedom Folk
Alexa play "Masters of War" from "Bob Dylan"
A scathing antiwar protest song from 1963, stripped down to voice and guitar. Dylan’s lyrics pulled no punches, making it a rallying cry for peace during the Cold War and the Vietnam era. From his second album, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.
Folk music gave America its voice of protest and unity. Rooted in tradition, it flourished in times of change—speaking out against war, injustice, and inequality with acoustic guitars and powerful words.
Rock & Roll
Hall of Fame
Alexa play "All Along the Watchtower" with "Jimi Hendrix"
Hendrix transformed Bob Dylan’s folk ballad into an electric storm. With layered guitars and powerful vocals, it became a defining anthem of the Vietnam era and a staple of psychedelic rock. The year was 1968, and the album was Electric Ladyland.

Our Outings
For the month of June we took a virtual trip to Peru, but we also went to some of Florida’s beautiful nature parks. Many of the majestic places in Florida can transport you to another country or at a different time. Our residents enjoy spending time outside and we are blessed that we live in such a beautiful area of Florida. The residents got to go on the Epic Boat tours on Lake Griffin State Park and on the Apopka Wildlife Drive. We have gotten to see some great wildlife throughout central Florida. This month for Around the World with Atlas we celebrate the United States with our kickoff backyard family firework party on July 2, 2025 at 6pm here at Madison at Clermont.
Welcome to the United States of America
Around the World with Atlas
The United States of America is a vast and diverse nation, shaped by a bold spirit of freedom, innovation, and cultural fusion. From towering skyscraper cities to serene national parks, from the sounds of jazz and rhythm & blues to the electrifying pulse of rock & roll, the U.S. radiates a restless energy that has left a lasting cultural impact around the globe.
More than a global superpower in terms of industrial influence and technological innovation, the United States is also a leading force in the arts and cultural development. It has played a central role in shaping the modern world as we know it. The rise of Silicon Valley and the culture surrounding today’s tech giants is the result of a long legacy of American ingenuity and creative drive.

- The Internet, GPS, and personal computers were all developed in the U.S.
- The birthplace of jazz, rock & roll, blues and hip hop.
Set Reminders
Did you know that the Alexa device in your apartment can set reminders for you? The only thing you must say to set a reminder on your device is “Alexa, set a reminder for me on” then say whatever date and time you would like that reminder. It can be set hours before you need the reminder or days/months in advance. It’s a great feature to ensure you never miss an appointment or date with your family again!
Citrus Tower
One of the oldest attractions in central Florida tourism allows you to look out over central Florida. The Florida Citrus Tower is a 226-foot-tall structure in Clermont, Florida. Built in 1956 to allow visitors to observe the miles of surrounding orange groves, it was once among the most famous landmarks of the Orlando area. Our residents enjoyed a free afternoon at The Citrus Tower and took in the beautiful views.
