A letter from the leadership team
As we wrap up another wonderful year, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for making this community such a special place to live and work. Your warmth, kindness, and positivity have truly made 2024 a year to remember.
We’ve had so many fantastic moments together—from the unforgettable Senior Prom in February, to the lively Hot Pink Hot Summer Party in July, and our spooktacular Monster Mash in October. These events wouldn’t have been the same without your energy and enthusiasm, and I’m grateful for every one of them.
But it’s not just the big events that have made this year so great—it’s the fun and laughter we share every single day. Whether it’s the friendly chats in the hallways, the spontaneous jokes at meals, or the support we offer each other, the joy in this community is felt constantly.
Thank you, too, for your kindness to one another and for the warm welcome you’ve extended to our new residents. You make this place feel like home for everyone, and that’s something truly special.
As we look ahead to 2025, I’m excited for all the new memories we’ll create together. Here’s to another year filled with great health, friendship, laughter, and fun!
Sincerely,
The Madison at Clermont Leadership Team
Glacier
National Park
The iconic symbol of Glacier National Park is the mountain goat. This young goat is just learning to scamper around the rocky cliffs in the park.
Happy Holidays
The residents kicked off the holiday season by attending a performance of Handel’s Messiah. We had a great time listening to the Florida Philharmonic and Opera Orlando perform on November 20, 2024. It has become a Madison at Clermont tradition that we attend this concert each year. There are so many things to be grateful for and the residents are always happy to get out in our community and enjoy fellowship with others. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones!
Glacier

Around the world with Atlas
We are looking to celebrate with you in 2025 our new theme “Around the World with Atlas”! We will attend diverse cultural events, cuisines, and experiences from across the globe—all while highlighting the incredible talents of our Culinary Chef Ashley. Please make sure you sign up for these adventures throughout the year at the front desk. Our entertainment each month will be themed after each country. Happy New Year from all the staff here at Madison at Clermont!

Recipe Spotlight:
Traditional Scones
Ingredients:
1 Egg
2 heaped teaspoons – Baking Powder
25 grams – Caster Sugar
1 heaped teaspoon – Vanilla Sugar (or caster sugar)
25 grams – Vegetable Shortening (or lard)
500 grams – Plain Flour
1 teaspoon – Salt (fine)
50 grams – Butter (unsalted)
250 milliliters – Heavy Whipping Cream (or double cream)
250 milliliters – Full Cream Milk
1 tablespoon – Milk
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F) and place a baking tray inside to warm. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl. Add butter and lard (or shortening), blending until it resembles damp sand. Gradually add milk, mixing until the dough just comes together. Avoid overworking the dough.
Roll the dough on a floured surface to about 3 cm (1 inch) thick. Cut scones with a round cutter, reshaping the dough gently if needed. Place scones close together on a baking tray. Brush with egg wash (beaten egg and milk). Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Check doneness with a thermometer (center should reach 85°C/185°F). Serve warm or at room temperature with Chantilly cream and strawberry jam.
Chantilly Cream: Whisk cream and sugar until soft peaks form.
