Events Spotlight

Happy 78th anniversary to Jerome and Selma Rosenberg!!!

The Tudor Rose

A timeless symbol of unity, the Tudor Rose combines the red rose of Lancaster and the white rose of York—emblems of rival houses during the Wars of the Roses. When Henry VII united the two through marriage, this floral symbol became a lasting emblem of peace and the English crown.

Associate of the Month

Orlean Prashad

Orlean Prashad is from Guyana which is part of South America. She has been with the Madison at Clermont for 16 years in the dining room. Orlean enjoys walking with the residents and spending quality time with them. Orlean has one daughter, and she has been married for 38 years. During her free time, she loves to cook and go to the casino. Congratulations to Orlean Prashad for being such a loyal and consistent beacon of light for our residents.

English Heart

Alexa play "The Bewlay Brothers" from "David Bowie"

Eerie, poetic, and elusive, “The Bewlay Brothers” closes Hunky Dory (1971) like a dream you’re not quite sure you had. With surreal lyrics and a whispered outro, Bowie weaves a strange tale filled with fractured identity and buried emotions. Many interpret it as a cryptic nod to his relationship with his half-brother Terry, but Bowie always left its meaning deliberately obscure. The result is one of his most haunting creations — unsettling, intimate, and unforgettable.

Night of Hope

Thank you to the Night of Hope Fashion Show, Courtney Schmidt from Pinnacle Home Care and Sharon Nordquist for allowing Madison at Clermont residents to be honored at your international event. The Night of Hope Fashion Show truly was life changing for our residents. Each resident expressed how great it made them feel and really appreciated all the work put into making their night special. All the staff and contestants were so sweet to the residents. Your staff and contestants made the residents feel like kings and queens at the Night of Hope Fashion Show.

Welcome to England
Around the World with Atlas

England’s story begins long before it was called by that name—when Celtic Britons inhabited its misty hills and Roman legions reached the edge of their empire in a land they called Britannia. Though Rome left its mark with roads, baths, and Hadrian’s Wall, the far north—home to fierce tribes and enigmatic druids—remained unconquered. After the Romans withdrew, waves of Saxon settlers shaped a new identity, giving birth to a nation where myth and history often blur.

At the heart of this early tapestry is the legend of King Arthur, the once and future king said to have united Britain with the help of Merlin the wizard, the sword Excalibur, and the noble Knights of the Round Table. Whether myth or memory, these tales reveal England’s deep-rooted fascination with destiny, honor, and the magic of storytelling—traditions that would shape its greatest literary voices.

From the poetic grandeur of Shakespeare to the epic realms of J.R.R. Tolkien and the modern wizarding world of J.K. Rowling, English literature has enchanted readers across centuries. And in music, few countries have left such a global imprint. With sounds ranging from the rebellious rock of The Rolling Stones to the dreamscapes of Pink Floyd, and the timeless genius of The Beatles and David Bowie, England’s cultural output is as powerful and enduring as its history.

Officers

Moving to a new home can be stressful and a little scary. It’s important to know that you are in a safe place here at the Madison at Clermont. We pride ourselves on the community that we have built because our residents love each other and the staff. Within our community we have a few residents that I would like to introduce. This special group of residents are officers within the community that you can speak with if you have questions. Our Resident President is Gerald Kole who oversees the prayer meetings and Residents’ Council. Next is Charlotte Damon, Resident Ambassador, who knows the building inside and out and what activities are taking place throughout the month. We also have Pablo Rosario Jr., the Choir and Dance President, who can help you learn how you can join the choir and dance programs. Linda Kaminski is our Resident Secretary who is also an exercise expert. The Sergeant of Arms is Jerry Tinsley who has the voice of an angel. Please join us in one of our many activities throughout the week to meet some of your new family members.

Independence Day Celebration

What a party! Our Independence Day Celebration was fantastic! The live band, Distorted Xpression, sounded great. We would like to thank all our families and friends that attended the celebration. A special thank you to our vendors that came out and helped make this celebration superior. Our Independence Day Celebration ended with a big bang!

World War II Vets

What a fantastic way to thank our World War II vets was by honoring them with a plaque. Jeff Kingdon drove up from South Florida and gave us two World War II, specially-made plaques. The plaques were beautiful with their names engraved on them. Jeff’s presentation was lovely and a great surprise to Melvin Traub and Jerome Rosenberg.
