One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time

Aging with grace is all about embracing the journey of getting older with a positive attitude and a sprinkle of humor. It’s like realizing that those laugh lines aren’t just signs of age; they’re trophies from a life filled with joy and laughter. Bodies might not bounce back like they used to, but aging gracefully means focusing on what really matters—connections with family and friends, cherishing new experiences, and staying curious about the world around us. Whether it’s picking up a new hobby or just enjoying a quiet evening with loved ones, it’s important to find joy in the simple things. Aging can be an exciting chapter if you approach it with an open heart and mind!

Sounds of Peru

Alexa play "La Malagueña" from "Juan Diego Flórez"

La Malagueña Salerosa is one of Mexico’s most beloved traditional songs—a beautiful example of the huapango genre.

In his album Bésame Mucho, a stunning compilation of Latin America’s most cherished songs, Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez delivers a powerful and heartfelt rendition.

La Malagueña demands both technical mastery and emotional nuance—qualities that Flórez brings in abundance, no doubt he is one of Peru’s national treasures.

Smooth Sailing at Legacy

Our residents have taken to the river and embraced boat life. On a recent outing they basked in the evening sun, delighted in a seafood meal at Backwaters at the Landings, and watched the sunset. Thanks to Steven Lashley and his team at Lake Harding Water Sports for an amazing evening. We will be sure to return.

A special thank you to Nedda and her team at Aglow Apothecary for encouraging our residents to take a leap into all things creative.
