We just enjoy ourselves. I would recommend Legacy Reserve to everyone!”

Alexa play "Conquest of Paradise" from "Vangelis"

Conquest of Paradise is a musical composition by Greek Composer  Vangelis, created for the 1992 film 1492: Conquest of Paradise directed by Ridley Scott. The film depicts Christopher Columbus’ journey to the New World, and Vangelis’ score perfectly captures the sense of adventure, discovery, and grandeur.

Molding Masterpieces

Legacy residents traveled to Hot Glass Academy in Americus, GA to attend a glass blowing demonstration. Glass blowing is a unique and engaging activity that provides a creative outlet for self-expression, promotes mental acuity, and enhances hand-eye coordination. Additionally, the intricate process of manipulating molten glass helps to improve dexterity and fine motor skills, making it an excellent therapeutic tool for seniors. It was a mind-blowing experience, and we can’t wait to return!

Legacy's Lifelong Learners

In order to maintain mental sharpness and agility, it is crucial for individuals to engage in activities that stimulate the mind on a regular basis. One effective tip for keeping minds active is to participate in lifelong learning opportunities such as attending workshops or seminars related to a person’s personal interests. Additionally, engaging in problem-solving activities like crossword puzzles, Sudoku, or brain teasers can help improve cognitive abilities and memory retention. Legacy resident, Reata Manning enjoys doing search and find puzzles daily. Incorporating daily routines that challenge the brain can contribute to increased cognitive functioning over time. Overall, staying mentally active through continuous learning and challenging activities is essential for maintaining mental acuity and preventing cognitive decline.

Ancient Greeks

Pythagoras of Samos

Pythagoras ( around 570 – 495 BC) was more than just a mathematician; he was a philosopher, mystic, and the founder of a secretive brotherhood that combined mathematics with spirituality. During his lifetime, he was considered almost a demi-god, a man who had mastered body, mind, and soul. His influence extended beyond mathematics—his teachings formed a strict, almost religious society that studied numbers, music, and philosophy.

Beyond numbers, Pythagoras made key discoveries in music theory, realizing that harmonious sounds are based on simple numerical ratios. His fascination with mathematics led him to view the world as a structured, mathematical entity. Some of the most beautiful words and concepts are linked to him:
Mathematics, Philosophy, Cosmos, and Harmony.
