Brian Haddock, Executive Director | The Oscar at Georgetown

Brian Haddock

Executive Director

Brian is an experienced leader with over twenty years in the senior living industry. He was born and raised in the Austin area (the barbecue capital of Texas, Lockhart) and is a proud graduate of Texas State University. Brian is a two-time recipient of the Eli Pick Facility Leadership award and has led communities that were repeatedly acknowledged as Top Workplaces in Austin. He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Certified Assisted Living Manager, as well as a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, and Certified Dementia Practitioner.

He has three children that keep him young and active, a 23-year-old son and 12-year-old twin daughters. In his free time Brian enjoys going to see live music with his wife, practice guitar, and just about any type of art project.

Brian has enjoyed the process of opening a new community, especially getting to know each new resident as they join, sharing their excitement, and being able to hand pick the team that will provide them with excellent care and customer service. His career path began many years ago when as a teenager he asked his uncle for help finding a job that was more meaningful than sacking groceries. As Brian says “That has become the understatement of a lifetime. I have had the privilege to spend my career in leadership roles helping others reach and maintain their highest level of independence and quality of life”.

Mandy Hastings, Sales and Marketing Director | The Oscar at Georgetown- Bio on website

Mandy Hastings

Sales and Marketing Director

Mandy Hastings has worked in senior living in the Georgetown, TX area for 25 years.  Mandy started her career when she was tasked with finding a business to be a college intern. The Lord had a plan, and her internship ended up in the sales and marketing department at a large senior living community. From that, she found her calling.

“I love being a guide and helping seniors through the process of deciding to move to a retirement community. It’s a huge decision.  It takes time, a lot of emotions and thought and I am there every step of the way to give support.”

She has successfully increased and held communities to 100% occupancy. “To do this, it takes the dedication, loyalty and listening ear of a team and residents working together to create a culture where everyone thrives and is empowered.”

Mandy holds a BS with a minor in Marketing and is a Certified Senior Housing Professional.

When Mandy is not at work you will find her at the bowling alley with her sons, Milton and Wilks, spending time outdoors, or working out, trying her best to stay healthy and strong.

Melissa Russell, Business Office Coordinator | The Oscar at Georgetown

Melissa Russell

Business Office Coordinator

My hometown of Temple, Texas is where I started my career in senior living. My passion has always been to work with seniors.

I have over 31 years of experience working in senior living. I got my start working in the home health industry. The last 13 years I have held roles working in Assisted Living and Memory Care communities as Business Office Directors and Executive Director. The biggest reward is being part of the residents and their families’ lives interacting with them daily.

In my spare time I enjoy time with my family, dancing and running.

Eleanor Johnson, Move-In Coordinator | The Oscar at Georgetown

Eleanor Johnson

Move-In Coordinator

Despite recently graduating from the University of Maryland, Eleanor already boasts 5 years of experience in Senior Living across several departments and loves her new role as The Oscar’s Move-In Coordinator.

She is new to Texas and is excited to combine her sales knowledge with her recently acquired degree, all the while leaning on previous experience in senior living to foster a lively, yet homey, feel to The Oscar at Georgetown for all residents and staff. Some people joke about how Luxury Senior Living operates something like a docked cruise ship. Unsurprisingly, Eleanor instead draws similarities between this style of living and being back in college dorms with your peers again. Of course, we have professional chefs instead of Dining Halls but other than that… Eleanor can’t wait to start moving people in!

Eleanor is most excited to get to know the residents as they settle into their new homes (she misses her grandparents back on the East Coast) and fully expects residents to stand in as quasi-grandparents. In her free time, she loves to be crafty; she recently made her own paper in a blender, and she plays for the Austin Valkyries Women’s Rugby Team after work and on the weekends.

Heather Patterson, Lifestyles Director | The Oscar at Georgetown

Heather Patterson

Lifestyles Director

My deep passion for senior living, cultivated over 15 rewarding years in the field, means that my work doesn’t feel like work at all; I genuinely enjoy it every day. I’m confident that life at the Oscar will be brimming with excitement, laughter, and a genuine celebration of living.

Beyond my professional life, spending time with my family and fur babies holds a special place in my heart. Whether it’s enjoying the great outdoors on camping trips or simply savoring moments together, these experiences remind me of the importance of living life to the fullest. In fact, my passion for this field has driven me to pursue a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, a testament to my dedication to enhancing the well-being of others. I can’t wait to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to the Oscar community, enriching the lives of its residents in every way possible.

Katlyn Fitzgerald, Sales Counselor | The Oscar at Georgetown

Katlyn Fitzgerald

Sales Counselor

They say to do what makes your heartbeat faster and that couldn’t be more true for my NEW role as a Sales Counselor with The Oscar at Georgetown. I am in my 20s but my entire career has been in senior living! I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Long Term Care Administration where I was honored to be the Student Ambassador for the College of Aging Studies, did my Nursing home Administrator in Training, and even studied with the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute.

I am no stranger to the different avenues of senior living and have worked in a nursing home, home health agency, and then my heart was forever changed when I found the vibrant life that a senior living community could offer! I started out in operations and was quickly pulled into the Sales & Marketing office to share with prospects why aging in place with a community was so great…or maybe I was called in just because I had dimples. Who knows!

I had so much fun learning from the sales team and meeting people as they became our new residents; my heart couldn’t be any fuller. Then my high school sweetheart came home one day with a job offer from Apple and said, “Hey, what do you think about moving to Austin?”

I didn’t know if I could find another community that was as dedicated to their residents, had inspiring yet down to Earth leadership, and strived towards the mission of offering the BEST standard of living to seniors. Then I found The Oscar at Georgetown with Atlas Senior Living and knew I wanted to part of this new standard they were setting. I am thrilled to be your new sales counselor and I cannot wait for all the friendships I am going to build here. Please reach out to say hello! Also, any advise on new married life would be great as well; as I married my, “corn muffin” in April of this year and though I love him…he still cannot load the dishwasher correctly. Any tips would be appreciated.
