Meet Our Team Behind Georgetownā€™s Premier Senior Living Community

Brian Haddock, Executive Director | The Oscar at Georgetown

Brian Haddock

Executive Director

Brian is an experienced leader with over twenty years in the senior living industry. He was born and raised in the Austin area (the barbecue capital of Texas, Lockhart) and is a proud graduate of Texas State University. Brian is a two-time recipient of the Eli Pick Facility Leadership award and has led communities that were repeatedly acknowledged as Top Workplaces in Austin. He is a Certified Assisted Living Manager, as well as a Certified Alzheimerā€™s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, and Certified Dementia Practitioner.

He has three children that keep him young and active, aĀ 23-year-old son and 12-year-old twin daughters. In his free time Brian enjoys going to see live music with his wife, practice guitar, and just about any type of art project.

Brian has enjoyed the process of opening a new community, especially getting to know each new resident as they join, sharing their excitement, and being able to hand pick the team that will provide them with excellent care and customer service. His career path began many years ago when as a teenager he asked his uncle for help finding a job that was more meaningful than sacking groceries. As Brian says ā€œThat has become the understatement of a lifetime. I have had the privilege to spend my career in leadership roles helping others reach and maintain their highest level of independence and quality of lifeā€.

Kelly Kolyer The Oscar at Georgetown

Kelly Kolyer

Sales and Marketing Director

With over 15 years of experience in senior housing, including 55+ Active Adult Living, Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, I have had the privilege of assisting many families in finding their ideal homes. My journey began as a high school history teacher, where I developed a deep passion for the Old West, a passion that continues today and is reflected in the name of my dog, Wyatt Earp. I also share my home with a cat named Elsa.

Originally from Rochester, NY, I escaped the winter tundra and made the move to Texas in 2017 along with the rest of my extended family. Since then, I have loved calling the Lone Star State home! Georgetown, in particular, has captured my heart, and I truly appreciate all that this vibrant community has to offer.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new trails in my Tacoma and embracing the natural beauty of the area. Helping individuals and families navigate the exciting transition to a new home is a rewarding experience, and I am honored to be part of their journey. I look forward to working with you to help your family member find their home in a vibrant and caring community!

Melissa Russell

Business Office Coordinator

My hometown of Temple, Texas is where I started my career in senior living. My passion has always been to work with seniors.

I have over 31 years of experience working in senior living. I got my start working in the home health industry. The last 13 years I have held roles working inĀ Assisted Living and Memory Care communities as Business Office Directors and Executive Director. The biggest reward is being part of the residents andĀ their familiesā€™ lives interacting with them daily.

In my spare time I enjoy time with my family, dancing and running.

My deep passion for senior living, cultivated over 15 rewarding years in the field, means that my work doesn’t feel like work at all; I genuinely enjoy it every day. I’m confident that life at the Oscar will be brimming with excitement, laughter, and a genuine celebration of living.

Beyond my professional life, spending time with my family and fur babies holds a special place in my heart. Whether it’s enjoying the great outdoors on camping trips or simply savoring moments together, these experiences remind me of the importance of living life to the fullest. In fact, my passion for this field has driven me to pursue a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, a testament to my dedication to enhancing the well-being of others. I can’t wait to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to the Oscar community, enriching the lives of its residents in every way possible.
