Associate of the Month
Marie St. Onge
Join us in celebrating Marie St. Onge, our outstanding Associate of the Month! Marie has been an invaluable part of The Oscar team for a year, bringing joy and exceptional care to our residents every day.
Marie’s genuine love for her role is undeniable. She finds immense satisfaction in tending to our residents’ needs and ensuring they feel special. It’s clear her efforts resonate deeply, as she says her biggest motivation is hearing residents tell her she makes their day. This speaks volumes about the positive impact she has each morning she’s here.
Marie lives by a simple yet powerful philosophy: “treat all residents as if they are your own parents.” This belief guides her interactions, creating a warm and respectful environment for everyone at The Oscar. She truly embodies her own best advice: “Take pride in your work.”
While Marie enjoys hobbies like wood burning and spending time with her family in her free time, it’s particularly touching to hear that many of our residents have become like family to her. This deep connection makes her an even more extraordinary member of our team.
Marie’s compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication make her a true asset to our community. Congratulations, Marie, and thank you for your incredible service!
Jazz Masterpieces
Alexa play "Chamaleon" with "Herbie Hancock"
A funky, synth-driven masterpiece from 1973 that redefined jazz fusion. Hancock merged electronic sounds with improvisation, paving the way for future generations of experimental artists.

Rock & Roll
Hall of Fame
Alexa play "The Times they are a-changin'" from "Bob Dylan"
An urgent call for social change, this 1964 folk anthem captured the spirit of a restless generation. With simple verses and prophetic tone, Dylan addressed civil rights, generational tension, and shifting political tides. It remains one of the most iconic protest songs in American history.
Folk music gave America its voice of protest and unity. Rooted in tradition, it flourished in times of change—speaking out against war, injustice, and inequality with acoustic guitars and powerful words.

It’s a sophisticated and engaging event designed to spark conversation, camaraderie, and a touch of thrilling intrigue. You’ll need to investigate to determine who had the means, motive, and opportunity to kill Patches.

Resident of the Month
Sandra Clouse
This month, we’re thrilled to celebrate Sandra Clouse as our Resident of the Month! Sandra’s bright spirit and genuine enjoyment of life at The Oscar are truly inspiring.
What Sandra loves most about living here is the incredible opportunity to connect with others. She has made a wonderful circle of new friends, enjoying meals and laughter with them daily. “At home, I just had family and caregivers,” Sandra shared, “but now I have made more friends!” This renewed social life has profoundly enriched her days.
Sandra is an active participant in our community, diving into a variety of activities. You’ll often find her enjoying a lively game of Rummikub, Mexican Train, or Mahjong. She also stays fit and active by regularly attending our exercise and water aerobics classes, which she finds beneficial in managing her Parkinson’s.
A creative soul, Sandra was previously a sculptor, with a passion for stone and 3D art. Her life was also filled with adventure, including beloved memories of snow skiing and traveling extensively through Europe and the U.S. for golf with her late husband, Robert. A moment of great pride for her was seeing her favorite two-column sculpture displayed at Golden West College.
Despite facing the challenges of Parkinson’s, Sandra’s dedication to staying active is a testament to her strength. She finds happiness in making connections, and values her friends and family above all. Sandra particularly appreciates The Oscar’s delicious food, the caring staff, and all the wonderful activities that keep her engaged.
Thank you, Sandra, for bringing so much warmth and vibrancy to our community!
