Executive Director

Susan Stephens, Executive Director of Legacy Reserve at Old Town, brings a wealth of experience to her role with 16 years as a nurse and 15 years specializing in senior care. Certified as a Dementia practitioner, she has a diverse background, including HomeHealth, sales, and marketing. 

Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Susan has called Georgia home for 14 years. Married with four children and three grandchildren, she values spending spare time with family and actively engages in volunteer work at her church and within the local community.
 

Susan is dedicated to ensuring the residents of Legacy Reserve at Old Town experience their best days while prioritizing their health and wellbeing. Her passion for senior care shines through her commitment to creating a fun and safe environment for all residents.

Raven Allred

Sales and Marketing Director

Raven has been in the senior care industry for over a decade and has a true passion for securing the highest quality of life for our residents. She is currently still acting co-chairman with PSOA-Columbus, (Professionals Serving Older Adults), where she networks and partners with professionals in every aspect of senior care & life. Raven is dedicated to helping individuals and their families realize the fun is in their next adventure. Raven, along with the team at Legacy Reserve, will help to make the transition into our community seamless.

Raven and Andrew have 2 cats, 2 dogs, along with 3 daughters, Kara, Kaitlyn and Millie. They have been residents of Phenix City for 10 years.

Vanessa Yarbrough

Sales Counselor

Vanessa comes to us with 3 years of experience working with Coffee County Family Services, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, and a core focus in hospitality.

Being the daughter of an Army veteran, Vanessa enjoyed a childhood in Germany. After her dad’s retirement from the Army at Fort Benning, the family decided to call Columbus their permanent home, and have lived here for the last  20 years.

Vanessa has a 3 year old, Briggs, and loves to be outdoors and spend time with family and friends. Vanessa has a passion for people and making connections.

If you are walking around Legacy Reserve, you will probably hear Vanessa saying, “How can we support you today?”.

Angie Brown

Resident Services Manager

Angie Brown is our Resident Services Manager here at Legacy Reserve At Old Town. After graduating she was in early childhood education for 14 years before joining our team. She has been a part of the team since we opened the doors in September 2020, She has always been a hub of this beautiful community assisting in meeting the needs of our residents. She has shown that she truly has a heart for senior care.
 
Angie shares three children, Jonathan, Joshua, and Matthew, with her husband Kenny. In her free time, Angie enjoys shopping, running, singing on her church’s praise team, and spending as much time outside as possible with her family watching Auburn football. War Eagle.

Kelly Mueller

Business Office Director

Our Business Office Director, Kelly Mueller, joined our team in August 2023. She attended Columbus State University and has over 25 years of experience in various business positions focused on customer service, account management, training and leadership. Kelly is passionate about serving others in whatever capacity she can. She sincerely cherishes the relationships she has quickly built with residents and employees here at our community. Outside of her time at Legacy, Kelly adores spending time with her family and friends.

She has a fourteen-year-old daughter and a 11-year-old son. Between their school and sports, Kelly stays busy and entertained. She also enjoys being outside, attending concerts and taking vacations, especially to the beach.

Kimberly Fearson

Activities Director

Our Activities Director Kimberly Fearson is originally from the Chattahoochee Valley area. Upon getting married she relocated to the Chicagoland area. After being away for 6 years she is happy to be back home. Kimberly is a graduate from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre with a Communications Minor.

She has traveled across the country and one thing remains the same: her love for people (especially seniors). She has learned that everyone has a story and Kim loves to hear about those stories. Her previous job experiences include regional theatre, customer service, and hospitality. Kim states, “There is so much to learn from our elders if you only take the time to listen.” She enjoys spreading joy and creating beautiful moments with the residents at Legacy Reserve at Old Town

Sondra Phillips

Resident Care Coordinator

Sondra Phillips has 14 years of experience working with elderly/seniors. She is currently the Resident Care Coordinator here at Legacy Reserve at Old Town in the assisted living/ memory care communities. She has been a part of Legacy since March 2021 shortly after the door opened. She is passionate about her job here at Legacy she strives to provide the best care to our residents. Sondra was born and raised in Columbus Georgia. I have 1 loving son, Dajhuan Phillips. During my free time she loves to spend time with my fur baby king, my family, cooking, and going to the beach when the weather is nice.

Bryan Golden

Maintenance Director

Bryan Golden, Maintenance Director at Legacy Reserve at Old Town, brings over a decade of experience in the maintenance field. An honors graduate from Columbus Technical College, he not only possesses theoretical knowledge but also shared his expertise by teaching the Air Conditioning program. Beyond his professional life, Bryan finds fulfillment in spending time with his family, hitting the gym, and takes pride in contributing to the well-being of the elderly, considering his role as more than just a job, but a source of purpose.

Courtney McPherson

Wellness Director

My name is Courtney McPherson and I attended nursing school in Alabama and I have been a nurse since 2008. I also have a degree in Surgical Technology. I have experience in Long term care, Home Health, hospital and Assisted Living. I have been a part of leadership for many years and I have had the opportunity to grow and advance which is what lead me to becoming a WD 4 years ago. I also run a CPR business located uptown Columbus. I’m a country girl at heart, born and raised in a very small community in Alabama. My favorite past time is mud riding with my husband and boys.

Joseph Polston - Dining Director - Legacy Reserve at Old Town

Joseph Polston

Dining Director

Director Dining Joey Polston grew up in a small town just south of Chicago, IL. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army serving our country around the world.  When he left the military, he went on to graduate from college with a degree in business administration.  Which in turn opened the door for him to enter the Food Service Industry.  Though out his years he has been instrumental in opening several well-known restaurants.

Ranging from fine dining, bar & grills, fast food, etc.  Through his years of traveling, dining at exquisite establishments, he fell in love with the motto; “leave people better than the way you find them”!  The food service industry gives you that unique opportunity.  We all eat, we all enjoy food, it connects us all. 

No matter where you are from, food is a universal language. So, let’s eat, speak and be merry!

Kenneth Brown

Head of Transportation

Kenneth Brown is glad to serve as Head of Transportation at Legacy Reserve at Old Town. He has been a part of our team for the last three years. Kenneth grew up and still resides in Smith Station, AL. with his wife Angie and a father of three sons Jonathan, Joshua and Matthew.  In Kenneth’s spare time he is an active member of his church and loves spending time with his family and is a loyal fan of Auburn football.
