Congratulations to Sara Snyder!
This month, we shine the spotlight on our wonderful Lifestyles Coordinator, Sara Snyder! Sara has been an integral part of The Oscar family since June 2025, and we are so lucky to have her!
After leaving a fast-paced career in sales, Sara was looking for a role that would truly fulfill her passion for helping others—and she found it here!
Her favorite part of the job is getting to know every resident: learning about their lives, their passions, and their incredible histories. Sara enjoys leading many of our most popular activities, including morning walks, Bingo, Sit & Be Fit, and arts and crafts.
Sara stays motivated by starting every day with a positive outlook and a simple, powerful philosophy: treating everyone the way she wants to be treated. Her biggest challenge is simply making enough time for every resident, which she manages expertly with the help of her reliable alarms!
After only four months, Sara already has countless favorite memories with our residents. She says her most enjoyable moments are simply spending time listening to their stories—she believes they offer the best life advice.
When asked what makes a great team member, Sara highlights key qualities: someone who is kind, compassionate, caring, and willing to go the extra mile. Her advice to any new employee is simple: “Jump right in and do whatever you can for whoever you can!”
Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, their three children (Kaela, Paxton, and Kamdyn), and their two cats, Trinket and Penelope. She also loves fishing and is an avid thrift shopper!
Perhaps the most heartwarming fact about Sara is that she refers to all our residents as “my friends.” She truly views them as an impactful part of her journey, brightening her days just as friends should.
