Karl has been part of The Oscar family for 2.5 years as our Dining Manager, bringing a passion for hospitality and a genuine love of working with people. His favorite part of the job is getting to know residents, listening to their stories, and helping everyone feel welcomed and valued. He stays motivated by setting goals, staying organized, taking pride in his work, and supporting his team.
One of Karl’s most memorable moments was when a resident took the time to thank him and his team for making them feel cared for and welcomed. Karl believes The Oscar reflects his personal values of kindness, respect, and compassion. His advice to new employees is to stay open to learning, ask questions, and build strong relationships with residents and teammates.
Outside of work, Karl enjoys spending time with his family, especially his wife and son. He also loves reading, cooking, and staying active. He is grateful for the wonderful friends, residents, and coworkers who make his life meaningful.
