We are delighted to announce Traci Claypool, Caregiver at The Oscar, as our Employee of the Month for June!

Traci joined The Oscar in January 2025, seeking a new career opportunity, and she has quickly become an invaluable member of our team. What she cherishes most about her role are the deep connections she forms with our residents and her fellow staff members. Traci finds immense joy in simply talking and listening to our residents, particularly within memory care. She recognizes that each resident is special, and she discovers truly precious moments in every interaction, finding their humanity strong even when their minds might be challenged. Her dedication to taking each day one step at a time is truly inspiring.

Traci deeply appreciates The Oscar’s commitment to open communication and growth, noting how well it aligns with her personal values of ensuring residents are treated fairly and like family. When asked for advice for new employees, Traci emphasizes the importance of asking questions, staying true to oneself and others, and understanding that communication and documentation are essential.
Traci begins her days with prayers and an open mind. Outside of work, she leads a fulfilling life, enjoying hiking, arts and crafts, camping, traveling, and even soap making! She strives for a healthy work-life balance by focusing on what truly matters and leaving work at work. The most important people in her life are God, her husband, her children, and her grandchildren.
