Independent Living | Resident of the Month

JB Menold

– JB is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. He brings fun and energy to the Goldton at Venice. A day in the life of JB would be working out at our gym or singing duets at karaoke! Staying active while having fun is the perfect lifestyle for JB. We are honored to have him here with us!

Visitors have unparalleled opportunities to observe wildlife in an intact ecosystem, explore geothermal areas that contain about half the world’s active geysers, and view geologic wonders like the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.

From the desk of Laura Blakeman

Dear Residents and loved ones,
Welcome November! We are sad to say goodbye to Chef Jon, we wish him luck in his new endeavor of the coffee shop. We are so pleased to welcome Chef Cait to our leadership team!! She will have several meet and greets during this month so you can get to know her. Our director team will be participating in activities. We are excited to have the team help make your days more fulfilling!

Any suggestions on an activity you would like to see on the calendar are much appreciated. The weekly calendar is put out each Monday with updates on the main calendar. Please look at the weekly calendar for details. We will communicate any updates daily on our Alexa devices. Speaking of our Alexa’s-we will have a community-wide Alexa lesson to show you all the things Alexa can do for you here. This will be on November 6th from 1-2. I hope you will attend.

Thanksgiving dinner will be served at noon time meal that will be the same menu as Independent Living. We will be hosting Thanksgiving here at The Goldton at Venice as a buffet in the Independent Living dining rooms. If you would like to attend on the Independent Living side of the building, you must make a reservation with a deadline of November 21st. Guests are welcome, it will be a beautiful menu with the cost of $30.00 per person for the Buffet. Children under 12 will be $10.00. Everyone is welcome, we must make a reservation list so that we can accommodate all residents and their families. If you are not going to be here for Thanksgiving, please let the concierge know so we do not expect you.

It is a pleasure to see you every day! I look forward to a wonderful holiday season with you.

Yellowstone
National Park

On March 1, 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park for all to enjoy the unique hydrothermal and geologic features. Within Yellowstone’s 2.2 million acres

President and CEO of Atlas Senior Living Scott Goldberg (center) was in the upstairs sports bar area at The Goldton during Hurricane Milton.

From Your Maintenance Department

Staff, Bingo
Staff, Bingo

Our staff worked tirelessly to prepare for Hurricane Season, but one in particular was our Maintenance Director, Chris. Shoveling and filling sandbags, helping residents bring in the patio articles, securing windows and doors plus some. Many employees stayed onsite to weather the storm together and keep our residents safe and calm during the stressful few days. Chris certainly was at the ready when the power went out and we needed extension cords or backup power and even towels when the rain was trying it’s best to get in. The next day, the sun was starting to shine, everyone was tired and worn out, but Chris stayed until our power was restored. When all was said and done, The Goldton at Venice had minimal damage compared to our neighbors just a few miles to the coastline and what did he volunteer to do the following weekend? Be the favorite Bingo caller for the masses. Thank you for all you do for us, we appreciate you.

Assisted Living | Resident of the Month

Dorothy Roeder

Dorothy Roeder, Assisted Living Resident of the Month, November 2024 | |The Goldton at Venice

One of our kindest, most thoughtful residents here in assisted living. She is here with her husband, Russell who helps look after her and takes care of her. Russell and Dorothy have both traveled quite a bit throughout their years together. Russell was in the army while Dorothy is a retired registered nurse. A day in the life of the Roeders would be watching wheel of fortune and jeopardy together and unwinding with some old timer music.
