Italian Tradition

Alexa play "The Ecstasy Of Gold" from "Ennio Morricone"

“The Ecstasy of Gold” (L’estasi dell’oro) is one of Ennio Morricone’s most celebrated compositions, featured in the climactic scene of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966).

The piece exemplifies Morricone’s genius, blending classical composition with unconventional sounds to create a piece that feels both cinematic and timeless.

Keep it Moving

It’s important that we keep moving to stay healthy and fit. We know that joints tend to get stiff, and it may hurt to move. The resistance is the more you move your joints the less stiff they become. It’s easier not to want to move because they are stiff. The more we exercise the less we feel the stiffness.

Italian Legacy
Around the World with Atlas

A Timeline
“From the grandeur of Roman amphitheaters to the visionary works of Renzo Piano, Italian architecture is a living testament to art across the ages. Timeless.”

Rome, the Eternal City, is an open-air museum. Walk its cobblestone streets to witness the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, and fountains that whisper stories of empire and artistry.

Italy, the birthplace of the Renaissance, gave the world great artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Titian. With world-renowned cuisine, iconic design, and a rich musical legacy featuring maestros such as Vivaldi, Verdi, Puccini, Ennio Morricone, and Nino Rota, Italy remains an eternal source of inspiration.

Pet therapy

Many of the residents here at The Goldton at Athens love their animals. Many of them can’t wait for the second Thursday of the month to see Ms. Shelia and her beautiful little terrier. Although many of them are sitting in the bistro having finished with an activity some of them still have to come down to see Ms. Shelia. Many of the residents are sad to see her leave until the next time.

(Renaissance Amazing Facts)

Michelangelo Buonarroti the legendary Italian artist, sculptor, painter, and architect of the Renaissance painted the Sistene Chapel ceiling between 1508 and 1512. Michelangelo used foreshortening techniques to make figures appear more lifelike when viewed from the chapel floor, enhancing the sense of depth and realism.

The Sistine Chapel is part of the Vatican, built over ancient burial sites, a masterpiece of art, history, and a mystery; one of the greatest cultural treasures of all time!
