Resident of the Month
Annie Upchurch
Was born in Henry County and grew up Luella Georgia. Met Jim Upchurch in 9th grade and he was in 12th grade. She graduated in May and was married in June 1954. He was in the navy; Annie retired from the sewing plant after 22 years. She loved to Sew and Crotchet. She loves to read and play solitaire and look at Pinterest. She made all her daughters’ clothes throughout school. She loved to cook, her favorite dish to make was chicken casserole & she had to have cranberry sauce on the side. Her daddy was a farmer; she drove a tractor by the time she was 8 years old. She has 5 other brothers and sisters. She is preceded by 2 sisters still living. Annie loves to GIVE! It’s just instilled in her. She loved to garden and grow fresh vegetables. Her home prior to the canopy was 3 acres of land. She loves Jim because they are friends before anything.
They have two kids, Mike who is married to Jamie Upchurch, and Laurie Moore who is married to Tod Moore. She would like everyone to know she isn’t as outgoing as everyone thinks, she really likes to be alone. She doesn’t believe in giving up, she is the little train that could.
