At Wildcat Senior Living, we are honored to shine this month\u2019s Resident Spotlight on Mike Overcash, a man whose life has been filled with family, hard work, faith, and unforgettable adventures.<\/p>

Born on August 12, 1948, in Mooresville, North Carolina, Mike is the son of Mary Lee and Oliver Lewis Overcash. He grew up alongside his sister and developed the strong values that would guide him throughout his life. Mike met the love of his life, Brenda, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Their connection was immediate, and together they built a beautiful life, sharing 44 years of marriage and raising two children.<\/p>

For 30 years, Mike and Brenda lived on a mini farm in Hickory, North Carolina, where they enjoyed country living and created countless memories. They later moved to Rock Barn, where they lived on a golf course and continued enjoying life together. As business partners, they owned a successful mortgage company, with Brenda serving as president while Mike jokingly referred to himself as the executive vice president.<\/p>

Mike also enjoyed a successful 20-year career in cable communications manufacturing before retiring. Following retirement, he and Brenda returned to Myrtle Beach, where they became active members of North Myrtle Beach Church. Together, they loved traveling, especially to Hawaii, which they visited six times, along with many destinations throughout the western United States.
An outdoorsman at heart, Mike enjoys fishing, bird hunting, skeet shooting, and training bird dogs. He has always appreciated the beauty of nature and the friendships formed through these hobbies. Known for his warm personality, sense of humor, and dedication to family, Mike has touched the lives of many people throughout the years.<\/p>

Today, Mike\u2019s stories, experiences, and positive spirit continue to enrich our Wildcat community.
