Born in Jamaica and raised in New York, my lifelong commitment to the well-being of older adults has driven both my career and personal life. In 2020, I made the significant decision to relocate to Orlando, Florida, marking a pivotal new chapter in my life and work.<\/div>

After joining Somerby as a care staff member, I quickly demonstrated my skills, passion, and dedication. Family is the core of my life. I am a devoted mother of two, cherishing the memories of my late son, who tragically passed away at the age of 32 due to lupus. We are so happy to welcome Mark as our Lifestyle Director. Mark Wright-Ahern has performed in several plays and operas throughout the east coast, with companies such as Opera Orlando, the Orlando Opera, and the Roanoke Symphony in Virginia. Mark has been featured in multiple Billboard musical recordings and has judged several vocal competitions throughout the state of Florida and nationally. He has appeared in television commercials for ABC, on the OWN network, a feature film for the SyFy network, and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in entertainment. Mark is featured in The Youngest Evangelist as the Evangelist and casting director.<\/p>

With a Master of Science in Business from Nova Southeastern University and Bachelor of Science in Religion with a minor in Musical Performance from Liberty University, Mark spent 4 years teaching in both public and private schools. Mark has been an Associate Dean of Admissions and Alumni Coordinator for Montverde Aca.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
