Marcus began his career in senior living in 2007 as Sales and Marketing Manager with Brookdale Senior Living. He achieved 100% occupancy within months by developing lasting relationships in the Augusta market. In 2009 he was promoted to Executive Director being one of the youngest to do so in the eastern division. Marcus served on corporate initiative committees to assist other communities in the implementation of new policies, procedures, and best practices as determined annually by the company. Marcus served as a subject matter expert on company training teams and was selected as a regional transition Executive Director to other communities as they were acquired, including the onboarding of new Executive Directors. The two communities under his leadership achieved 100% occupancy and the highest clinical scores in the division. Marcus believes in meeting the needs of his residents and their families first. His commitment to exceeding resident and associate satisfaction is a driving force in his success in senior living.<\/p>

After Marcus achieved 100% occupancy and deficiency-free surveys at Madison Heights, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations with Atlas Senior Living. Marcus was instrumental in the early growth of Atlas throughout the southeast over the past four years. Marcus oversaw the operations for communities in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Tennessee. In July 2022, Marcus returned to the Augusta area to be the operator for Madison Heights making it the only community in the area locally owned and operated. This is unique because it allows for decisions to be made locally and in the best interest of our residents and gives them the quality of care they need and deserve!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Shamane graduated as a Registered Nurse in South Georgia College in Douglas, GA in 2001and began her career on the Medical Surgical Floor at the local hospital. This invaluable experience allowed her to gain the knowledge needed to care for patients both young and old. Years later she was afforded the opportunity to start in geriatric nursing in long term care and hospice care. In addition, her mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer\u2019s at the age of 55. So working with Alzheimer\u2019s and Dementia residents is very dear to her heart. Shamane attributes her love for the older generation to the time she spent growing up with her grandmother.

Madison Heights is proud of our reputation of providing individualize, highly compassionate care to our residents. This is possible by having a leader like Shamane with 24 years of experience of nursing experience and 18 years of working with the senior population. Shamane takes great pride in providing personalized care based on the resident\u2019s individual needs.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Kelly Adriano earned her Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. She joined the Atlas team in 2014 as the Lifestyle Director at Madison Heights Evans. During this time she has worked to ensure that residents are finding a sense of purpose in each day and that they can still find enjoyment in everyday activities. She is responsible for writing the SPIRIT Program, which is the footprint of the activity programs throughout Atlas\u2019s memory care communities. Kelly says that her favorite parts of working at Madison Heights are seeing the residents smile when they participate in an activity, hearing the residents talk about their past, and watching them come alive with music, dance, and art.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Tevaris grew up with the passion of becoming a Chef and doing what he loves most\u2026cooking! He began his professional journey in 2016 when he started culinary arts training at Helms College in Augusta, GA. Shortly after graduating from school, he made his way into senior living. As he started working in the senior living space, he found a love for seniors! He quickly progressed within the company, going from cook to pastry chef and then from Assistant Dining Director and on to the Dining Services Director at Madison Heights. I love preparing delicious and balanced meals for residents. <\/p>\n

Alexis joined Atlas Senior Living in 2019 and shortly after was promoted to Business Office Coordinator at Legacy Ridge Trussville. Alexis remained at Legacy Ridge Trussville until 2025, building strong relationships, helping ensure smooth day-today- operations, and serving residents, families, and team members. Alexis was promoted as the Business Office Specialist in June of 2025, expanding her role to support multiple Atlas communities across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Angela earned a Nursing Assistant Certification from Tender Care in 2011. Subsequent to her certification, she worked in skilled nursing facility for two years. Angela furthered her skills in 2013 and began a career at East Central Regional Hospital where she was promoted to Lead Certified Nursing Assistant in 2018. After leaving East Central Regional Hospital, she was hired as the Lead Certified Medication Aide at Madison Heights.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>

While at Madison Heights she has served as Lead CMA, Day Shift Supervisor and in 2022 she was promoted to Resident Care Coordinator. Angela is well seasoned in healthcare, having led other Certified Nursing Assistants in various capacities in her 15 years in the health care industry. Alan earned an Associate\u2019s Degree in Industrial Maintenance from Augusta Tech in 2001 while working in the cabinetry industry throughout high school and college. He started at Kimberly Clark in 2004 as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, where he became a shift lead mechanic. Alan then moved his career to a new Starbucks soluble plant in the same role before starting his own cabinet business, Knock On Wood. After seven years of working long hours, he knew he wanted to do something different and meaningful. His industrial maintenance background and experience in the woodworking industry were the perfect match for his role here as Maintenance Director.
