Leisa Cawthon

Regional Director of Clinical Compliance

Leisa is originally from the Atlanta area but was fortunate enough to live in several other states during her life. Her interest in healthcare came at an early age after suffering a hiking accident at the age of 15. After spending a great deal of time in hospitals, Leisa realized that therapy and helping others was the path she was meant to take. Growing up Leisa was very close to her grandmother and loved being around the elderly, so geriatrics seemed a logical path. Initially while in college she worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a hospital setting. Leisa soon realized she’d like to broaden her scope and ability to serve others, so she entered the nursing program at a local junior college. After graduation, she worked in a variety of areas in healthcare. Through the course of her career spanning 25 years, she has worked in various settings. Leisa obtained a Certification in Long Term Care, became a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Leisa even spent time in operational roles in assisted living becoming a Certified Director of Assisted Living. Her love for geriatrics, teaching, regulatory processes and mentoring has lead her to a regional clinical role which is a perfect fit for her passion.

In her spare time, Leisa enjoys hiking, traveling, water-related activities, shopping, good coffee shops, interior decorating, and spending time with her 22-year-old daughter, Natalie who is in college. She also has a very spoiled 13-year-old Calico cat named Sophie whom she adores.
