Bruce Jacobs<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Bruce T. Jacobs was born on May 9, 1942, and raised in the historic village of Tarrytown, New York, located along the scenic Hudson River just north of New York City. Growing up in a hardworking family, Bruce learned the value of dedication and perseverance at an early age. His father worked as a motion picture projectionist, while his mother was employed at the local Woolworth store. Alongside his older brother, Lloyd, Bruce worked various jobs throughout his youth to help support the family.<\/p>

During his school years, Bruce was active in sports, clubs, and theater productions, while also developing a love for music by learning to play the violin, trombone, and string bass. While attending high school, he met the love of his life, Ingrid Harder, and the two have shared a lifelong partnership ever since. Together, they raised two sons, Bruce Jr. and Gregory, both of whom went on to successful careers of their own.<\/p>

After graduating from Lafayette College, Bruce was commissioned as a U.S. Army Lieutenant through the ROTC program during the height of the Vietnam War. He first served as an Advanced Infantry Training Officer at Fort Jackson before being deployed to Vietnam as a Reconnaissance Platoon Leader with the 25th Infantry Division. During his military service, Bruce was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Silver Star for valor, and the Bronze Star Medal.<\/p>

Following his honorable military service, Bruce built a successful career in the telecommunications industry, serving in executive leadership positions for several companies. He ultimately retired from Johnson Controls as President of their Network Services Company. Before fully retiring, he also worked as a real estate broker in Savannah.<\/p>

Today, Bruce resides at Legacy, where he continues to reflect on a life marked by service, leadership, family, and resilience. His wife, Ingrid, is also a resident in Memory Care.<\/p>
