Shirley Maas<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Born in Savannah, Georgia, Ms. Shirley Maas began her journey in the South before moving to New York after completing business school. It was in Savannah where she met her husband, Ronald Maas, who was serving in the Air Force. The two were married in 1960 and built a beautiful life together, raising two children.<\/p>

Ms. Shirley\u2019s career began as a court clerk for a judge, but she always had a dream of working for Macy\u2019s\u2014and that dream became a reality. She spent 30 wonderful years working for the Vice President of Operations and Security, a role she took great pride in. She lived in New York for 45 years, creating a lifetime of memories along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2024, Ms. Shirley returned to her hometown of Savannah, moving with her brother David and sister-in-law before joining us at Legacy at Savannah Quarters in August.<\/p>\n

Ms. Shirley has a vibrant spirit and a love for life. She enjoys dancing (and has even taken dance classes!), reading any book she can get her hands on, and staying active. You can often find her participating in fitness classes\u2014whether it\u2019s with Rashad or Ross\u2014or getting creative in craft sessions.<\/p>\n

We are truly blessed to have Ms. Shirley as part of our community. Her sweet demeanor, joyful spirit, and love for laughter brighten the days of everyone around her. Affectionately known as one of the \u201cGolden Girls\u201d by our AL Activities Coordinator, Ms. Shirley brings warmth and fun wherever she goes.<\/p>\n
