Marcus was born and raised in Grenada, Mississippi, to two traveling ministers. He spent multiple years traveling from state to state with family before enlisting with the United States Marines immediately after high school in Chicago, Illinois. Marcus spent the next eight years as an infantryman completing multiple tours in Iraq and other parts of the Middle East with the Marines Corps until 2008. He soon transitioned to the US Army as an artilleryman, where he spent an additional eight years serving overseas. From there he managed multiple resorts and hotels throughout the East Coast before diving into the healthcare field as an Executive Director for several communities.<\/p>

Marcus has spent the better part of his life caring for and serving others; from the military to healthcare, his passion is people. His ultimate commitment, to providing the elderly with quality care as they lead happy lives, is his duty. He has two wonderful children, Makiyah and Alex. When he’s not working, he enjoys cooking, good music and exploring the city. Marcus believes in leading by example and enjoys being “in the mix” of the happenings of the community. My name is Sherri Long and I have been in the senior living industry since 2016. My passion for caring for others started at a young age. I was raised by my selfless and loving Grandmother, while she also cared for my Mother that was ill. She taught me that you should live the Golden Rule and that people will always remember how you make them feel. It is my goal every day to make sure our seniors know that they are cared for, respected and most of all loved! I was born and raised in the Savannah area. I attended Armstrong Atlantic State University following high school where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Health Administration.

I later went back to school and attended Savannah Technical College, where I graduated with an Associates Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. My experience in senior living includes being a part of a team that opened a new community in the area as the Business Office Manager. I later moved into a sales and marketing role and was at that community for 6 years.

I most recently was the Director of Admissions and Marketing for a near by skilled nursing and assisted living community. That role allowed me to expand my knowledge and learn so much about the skilled nursing side of senior living! Alexis joined Atlas Senior Living in 2019 and shortly after was promoted to Business Office Coordinator at Legacy Ridge Trussville. Alexis remained at Legacy Ridge Trussville until 2025, building strong relationships, helping ensure smooth day-today- operations, and serving residents, families, and team members. Alexis was promoted as the Business Office Specialist in June of 2025, expanding her role to support multiple Atlas communities across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Hi! My name is Josie Kirchner, and I am the new Wellness Director for Legacy at Savannah Quarters. I have been an LPN for almost 6 years, and I actually started my Senior Living career right here at Legacy as the Memory Care Coordinator. Prior to this, I have dabbled in a variety of healthcare fields.<\/p>

I have worked in Critical Care units at the hospital, at a Children\u2019s Crisis Unit, and Hospice. I have three children: Christian, Aubree, and Kalani. We are a travel softball, and All Star Cheer family! I look forward to building individual relationships with each of you and your loved ones.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Hi there! I\u2019m a proud Savannah native and Licensed Practical Nurse, serving since 2008. My career in healthcare has been quite the adventure, filled with laughter, lessons, and more blood pressure cuffs than I can count. In 2017, I traded in my scrubs for a leadership badge and became a Wellness Director in South Carolina, a role I\u2019ve absolutely loved for over eight years.<\/div>
Now I bring that same passion, comfort, structure, and yes ..plenty of love, to Legacy at Savannah Quarters. I graduated from Armstrong State University, earned my LPN from Savannah Tech, and walked the halls of Windsor Forest High back in the class of 1979 (once a Chatelaine, always a Chatelaine!).<\/div>
My husband David and I have been partners in life for over 20 years, blending our beautiful family of one daughter, Alana (and her husband Jordan), three sons Reggie, Travis, and Danny and four energetic grandchildren who keep us young\u2026 or at least pretend to.<\/div>

Shamiria Nix was born in Savannah, Ga and raised in the small town of Pembroke, Ga. She is the youngest of 6 siblings \u2013 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Shamiria received her Associates of Arts from East Georgia State College in December 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Georgia Southern University in May of 2018. And in June of 2018, she became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist through the NCTRS. Helping those who can\u2019t help themselves has always been something that has been a passion of hers. And being able to work with the residents here at Legacy brings back memories of her grandparents and why working with this population is so rewarding. Shamiria has been working with the Alzheimer\u2019s population for seven years and absolutely adores her residents and keeping them engaged in activities. Hi Legacy at Savannah Quarters! I\u2019m Sierra, originally from Baltimore, Maryland\u2014home of crab cakes and unpredictable weather. I stumbled into my passion for helping seniors over a decade ago while volunteering\u2026 and never looked back (turns out, they\u2019re way cooler than most people my age).

I got my start in Activities, where I put my creativity to work and quickly learned that bingo is serious business. My journey\u2019s taken me from Maryland to Florida and now Georgia\u2014thanks to my husband\u2019s career and a few moving boxes. In July 2024, we welcomed our daughter Emma (aka the new boss of the house), and I also spend my downtime being walked by our two pups, Chase the Frenchie and Bailey the Lab.<\/div>

Greg joined the Legacy team as Director of Dining Services in January 2022. Throughout his career, he has worked in many restaurants, from fast food to fine dining and everything in between. From an early age he learned that he loved to cook and experiment with different food tastes and cultures.\u00a0<\/p>

He is a graduate of Jamestown Business College with an associates degree in Hospitality Management, and recently obtained his CDM\/CFPP (Certified Dietary Manager\/Certified Food Protection Professional) license from the University of North Dakota.<\/p>

Greg moved to Savannah in 2015, where he had been the Dietary Manager at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation in the years prior. He really enjoyed the time he got to spend talking with the residents, finding out their food preferences, likes, and dislikes, occasionally showing them new recipes, and doing live cooking demos. Hello Everyone, I’m Patrick. I was born in San Bernardino and grew up in sunny San Diego, where I discovered my lifelong talent for taking things apart and occasionally forgetting how they went back together. After high school, I joined the United States Navy in 1994 and served aboard the USS Belleau Wood in Japan. That is where I learned three valuable lessons: teamwork, problem solving, and that duct tape is stronger than most people\u2019s emotions.<\/div>
After my honorable discharge in 1998, I joined the Navy Reserves and later the National Guard, because apparently, I do not know how to take a break. In 2001, I traded ships for houses and started working in the home building industry, where I learned the power of customer service and the magic of a good tool belt.<\/div>
By 2014, I found myself managing facilities for a large transportation company, keeping everything from offices to rail stations running like a well-oiled\u2026 well, something. In 2022, my family and I moved to Rincon, Georgia, and in 2025 I joined Legacy at Savannah Quarters as Director of Building Services.<\/div>
