Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Melvin brings a lifetime of stories, experiences, and a genuine love for connecting with others.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;\">Throughout his career, Melvin held a variety of positions, including spending an impressive 16 years with Emerson Radio, as well as working in the insurance industry and for the Board of Education. His many experiences have given him plenty of stories to share- and he is never short on conversation!<\/span><\/p><p>One of the things that makes Melvin so special is his natural ability to spark a conversation with just about anyone. He has a warm, welcoming personality and a way of making people feel comfortable and included. Melvin is also refreshingly authentic and isn\u2019t afraid to share the experiences, joys, and losses that have shaped his life.<\/p><p>When he isn&#8217;t visiting with friends and neighbors, Melvin enjoys writing short stories and performing magic tricks, giving him plenty of ways to keep others entertained. He is also a proud father of three children- two daughters and one son- and a grandfather of six.<\/p><p>Today, Melvin and his wife, Barbara, share an apartment here at Legacy Ridge at Marietta. In just a short time, Melvin has become a familiar and friendly face around our community.
