JoEllen Spivey, a compassionate and visionary leader, has spent her entire career dedicated to improving the lives of seniors. As the Executive Director of an esteemed assisted living facility, she has become a beacon of hope and a driving force behind the transformation of elder care.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born and raised in a small town, McDonough, JoEllen developed a deep appreciation for community and the value of human connection from an early age. Her parents instilled in her the importance of empathy and the power of making a positive impact on others’ lives. These values would shape JoEllen’s future and set her on a path towards a fulfilling career in senior care.<\/span><\/p>\n

After completing her undergraduate studies at GA Southern University, JoEllen embarked on a journey to gain practical experience in the healthcare field. She worked tirelessly as an Executive Director at Madison Heights at the Prado witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by seniors and their families. This experience fueled her determination to create a better, more compassionate environment for the elderly. Armed with a deeper understanding of the industry, she set out to make a lasting impact on the lives of seniors by becoming a Senior Executive Director.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her role as Executive Director, JoEllen has revolutionized the assisted living facility she oversees. She has implemented innovative programs that prioritize the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents. Under her leadership, the facility has become a vibrant community where seniors thrive, finding purpose and joy in their golden years.<\/span><\/p>\n

JoEllen’s approach to elder care is rooted in her belief that every resident deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. She has fostered a culture of inclusivity, ensuring that each individual’s unique needs and preferences are met. Her tireless advocacy for person-centered care has earned her the admiration and respect of both residents and staff. Originally from Erwin, North Carolina, Cassie is a proud mother of four children. She received her CNA license in 2012 and worked as a Care Staff member while going to Clayton State University, where she graduated in 2017 with her bachelor\u2019s degree in healthcare management.<\/p>

After completing her degree, she received a promotion in 2019 to become the Lifestyle Director for Memory Care at Legacy Ridge Buckhead. In Cassie\u2019s words \u201cOver the last 8 years I have grown a deeper understanding, love, respect, patience, and passion for working with the elderly. Born and raised in New York City. I Relocated to Georgia in 2005, I am a proud mother of three girls, and I share my life with my dedicated partner William.<\/p>

My professional journey spans over a decade in management roles, which has been instrumental in building my leadership skills and commitment to service. I\u2019ve spent my early career in Early Childhood Education, where I\u2019ve earned a CDA license and dedicated 11 years to fostering the growth and development of young children.<\/p>

I\u2019ve since transitioned into the medical field, where I\u2019ve spent three years as a specimen collector in a laboratory setting, further broadening my expertise and understanding of patient care. My diverse background has led me to the field of Senior Living and Memory Care.<\/p>

As the Memory Care Lifestyle Director, I am driven by a profound dedication to creating enriching, supportive environments for those living with memory impairments. My name is Melissa Grayson. I have always wanted to be in the healthcare field since I was a child and had the example from my mother who is a retired nurse for over 35 years. I have been a nurse for 12 years. I have been in senior living for about 9 years and love the integrity that assisted living communities offers. I am passionate about serving others and the nurturing aspect that nursing offers. I have been with Atlas for about 3 years at previous communities and I am dedicated to creating a culture in Buckhead that represents dignity and respect for residents; as well as a driven and fun environment for all associates and team members.<\/p>

I have been married for 7 amazing years to my loving husband whom I\u2019ve known since high school and is my best friend. I am a proud mother of 3 beautiful children who are my everything. On my spare time I love reading, shopping and binge-watching fun shows. I enjoy spending time with my parents who moved here recently, my siblings, & my nieces & nephews. We have a big family and I enjoy every part of it!<\/p>

Kevin Perry was born and raised in Stuttgart, Germany. From a very young age, he\u2019s had a passion for food. He and his family came to live in Georgia in 2008. He went on to graduate high school in 2011 and attended Le Cordon Bleu, where he Graduated in 2013 with a Culinary Degree. Since graduating, he has expanded his culinary journey, by acquiring a Nutrition, Diet, and Health Science degree.<\/p>

The beach is his happy place, and spending time with family and friends is one of his favorite pastimes. Tonzia is the Director of Building Services<\/span> for Legacy Ridge Buckhead and has more than 15 years of experience in in Long Term Care. He started as a Certified Nursing Assistant for approximately two years, later becoming Maintenance Assistant, then quickly transitioned to Supervisor and has been leading ever since. He earned a diploma in Air- Conditioning Technology from Georgia Piedmont Technical College.<\/p>

Tonzia has a very deep passion in caring for the elderly, which you can see in his daily interactions with each resident that he comes in contact with.<\/p>

He is a devoted husband and has three beautiful and amazing children.
