Dick Lynch<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dick has spent the past year and a half calling Legacy Reserve home. What he loves most about Legacy is the peace of mind that comes with having everything taken care of.
After graduating high school, Dick joined the United States Air Force, where he trained as an upper-air weather specialist. During his service, he was assigned to the Atomic Energy Commission and worked within the missile program, traveling extensively around the globe. He later joined a mobile unit dedicated to tracking and chasing tornadoes\u2014an exciting and demanding role that combined both science and adventure.
Following his time in the military, Dick\u2019s life took a romantic turn when he met his beautiful wife, Joan, while on vacation at a dance hall. The two have now been happily married for 65 years. Joan, a devoted nurse, earned the nickname \u201cthe Island nurse\u201d while working in the Bahamas, where she made a lasting impact on the community she served.
Professionally, Dick continued his work in weather science, contributing to aerospace advancements, including weather rockets, and working at a weather tracking station. Notably, he conducted the countdown operations for the Apollo 13 tracking station (behind the scenes, separate from the televised broadcast). After the historic moon landing in 1969, Dick transitioned into a new chapter of service by joining the FBI, where he worked for several years. Even after retiring, he continued as an independent contractor with the FBI for an additional 22 years. He also shared his expertise by teaching interviewing and interrogation techniques for a year at Faulkner University.
Outside of his career, Dick has been an avid golfer and he has always had a love for baseball, playing in high school and continuing with teams for many of the companies he worked for throughout his life.
Dick is the proud father of three daughters\u2014Doreen, Kelly, and Lori\u2014and enjoys spending his free time reading, especially history and biographies, as well as working on puzzles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
