Resident of the Month

Grace resident at Angels for the Elderly

Meet Grace

Born Mary Grace, her dear friends, colleagues and Angels’ residents agree Grace lives up to her name with her easy-going temperament and gracious speech. One might think earning her PhD in educational leadership was her greatest accomplishment, but Grace says she simply used that degree to do what she loves most—teach! She began teaching at the elementary level and then as her daughter Missy grew up, so did Grace. According to Missy, her mom moved out of the classroom and into administration because “she always has an opinion.” Her colleagues admire Grace as a woman of principles who led by example. From experience, she understands true excellence requires hard work, determination and a commitment to do “the right thing the right way.”

Whether in the classroom, the community or now at Angels, Grace loves affirming and encouraging others. She draws great strength from her deep faith and counts each new day as a gift. It comes as no surprise that she puts her five grandchildren at the top of her blessings list! Grace says she would most like to be remembered for her kind spirit and care for others.
